After last week's live stream about sex drives and libido left a thousand questions unanswered, Cindy Eckert is back. She's the founder and CEO of Addyi and the subject of the documentary The Pink Pill: Sex, Drugs & Who Has Control. Cindy explains why low desire starts in the brain, not the bedroom, and why men who bring up a problem get a solution while women get a homework assignment. She also compares it to fad diets and genetics, and explains why wanting to want it is nothing to be ashamed of.
The girls talk about the doctors who told women to "take a bath," why sex matters for staying connected in a long relationship, and Becca's lightbulb moment: women feel more connected after sex too. Cindy also opens up about how lonely it's been to lead this fight: selling her company for a billion dollars, watching it get shelved, and buying it back. She explains why she refused to stop wearing pink, and shares the story of the man who laughed her out of a room and later showed up in hot pink socks. Plus her best advice for women starting a business: only listen to the people who actually have the problem you're solving.

Cindy's own story was incredibly inspiring too. Selling her company for a billion dollars, watching the treatment get shelved, and then deciding to buy it back and keep fighting for women takes an unbelievable amount of determination. And the story about the man who laughed her out of a room eventually turning up in hot pink socks was such a perfect little full-circle moment. 😂💗
I also loved her advice about building a business: listen to the people who actually have the problem you're trying to solve. Such a simple idea, but such a powerful one. This episode managed to be informative, honest, empowering, and genuinely motivating all at once. Another really worthwhile LadyGang conversation. ✨
