Thanks for watching, and stay fresh!

WAITER. WAITER. THE TISSUE BOX PLEASE WAITER I NEED THE TISSUE BOX. SIR

Finally! Every time I hear people making English versions they make Marie mad at Callie, we needed this! Also the part where it’s showing them get older is really emotional ngl

Tidal rush was always one of my favorites, both Marie and Callie try to sing over each other but end up harmonizing. Even when their both struggling they still are together in sync.

Hearing Callie actually fighting back against the hypnosis in this version rather than singing like she’s still being controlled was an interesting but well done choice! You can really hear the emotion in both characters’ voices, and I think that makes this piece absolutely amazing! 😁

0:50 The way Callie sings here, saying how she can’t see or feel a thing, yet Marie is still able to get through to her, it makes the moment feel so much more important.

Amazing art and stellar vocals and killer lyrics. This is it. Pack it up everyone, this is the cover of all time

PEAK DROPS IN LESS THAN A DAY 😭😭😭😭😭🌈🌈

I swear people almost always look past Splatoon's story mode 'cos of Octo Expansion but it's SO DAMN GOOD!

The lyricism is actually genius, im so dumbfounded at how well it not only ties into rythym but also the story as well!

Here are the lyrics if anybody wants them

Marie:
On the ink-stained stage with the battlefield below
Take off your disguise
Can you hear my voice?
I'm calling out to you;
Please open your eyes
Though the tide rushes high
I know if you try,
You'll outrun the waves
Your fire burns
Bright and turns
Night into day
Let the floodlights shine
And perforate the fog that clouds up your mind
Raise your voice and sing
A happy tune
To leave your troubles behind
For your hues never shade
Not under the shade
Or obscured by a screen
We're sure to win
Shining in bright pink and green

(Callie and Marie are singing these parts at the same time)
Callie:
I can't see
I can't feel a thing
But my heart hammers to the rhythm
When I hear you sing
Please let this,
This flurry of paint guide me back to the light
Violet sparks fly around my brain
But in the corner of my bleary eyes you're here all the same
Could it be,
Your with me?
Can I stand back up and fight?

Marie: On the ink-stained stage with the battlefield below
Take off your disguise
Can you hear my voice?
I'm calling out to you;
Please open your eyes
Though the tide rushes high
I know if you try,
You'll outrun the waves
Your fire burns
Bright and turns
Night into day

(There's a instrumental here)

(This next part they are taking turns)

Marie: Petty and proud we broke apart, and I fear I'm to blame
Callie: Had to a stand, but I said so many things I didn't mean
Marie: I'm sorry all the same

(This next part Callie and Marie are singing at the same time)

Callie: No more... I'm sick and tired of keeping score!
Marie: Now all I want is a fresh start
To undo our bitter rivalry

(Now they are taking turns again)
Callie: The pain that I'm feeling hasn't gone away
But I want to end this fight
Hand and hand
Let's go and make it right!
Marie: Let the floodlights shine
And perforate the fog that clouds up your mind
Raise your voice and sing
A happy tune
To leave your troubles behind
For your hues never shade
Not under the shade
Or obscured by a screen
We're sure to win
Shining in bright pink and green!

(Dear god that took so long my respect for you two has someone gotten even stronger)

I know I already commented but CALLIE AND MARIE HAVE SUCH CUTE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS OMGGGGG

AND THE SINGING IS SO GOODDDD

The story yall tell can through your lyrics is INCREDIBLE! The way you captured every arc from that final splatfest win to the Squid Sisters stories and childhood memories OHHH IT'S PEAK! And the emotion in Penta's voice while seeing a crying Marie 😭😭😭 thank you for your hard work bc people rarely get to see the depth of these characters.

You know that meme that goes

Girl: I can't believe he didn't cry during Titanic! Do men even have feelings?
And then the guy cries for something else.

I'm the man in the meme, crying watching this.
Absolutely beautiful, once again y'all capture the characters of these two goofballs and bring out their emotions so well, incredible work, I love it so much!

EVERY part of this is just amazing!! The reversion of the lyrics just has so much emotion, the art is so good and captures that emotion so well, and the vocal work is so good and makes the song flow amazingly! Also this is so great cuz I almost never see anyone showing how Callie and Marie's relationship could have deteriorated over the final popularity contest from the first game. I love the beauty being showcased in full here, that not only is this a wonderful moment because it's the turn for the better in a battle of evil vs. good, but it's two sisters being able to finally forgive each other for their past mistakes. Amazing job

Beautiful art, love the reprises of your Bomb Rush Blush and Tide Goes Out lyrics!!

Also noticed that the ink on Callie's face resembles the mind-control goop that was on Agent 3 in OE, interesting parallel with low-tide ink breaking mind-control and sanitized ink causing it! Amazing video all around, you guys are awesome!!

WE’RE CRYING WITH THIS ONE ☝️‼️🔥💪💯😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I LOVE this cover SO MUCH… I keep rewatching it over and over LITERALLY CRYING BECAUSE OF THE LYRICS AND LIKE SEEING THE PAST WHERE THEY FOUGHT LIKE OOUGHH 💔💔 Marie sounds so scared/worried in the beginning it adds to everything AND at the end it was SO AWESOME TO SEE THEM HAPPY AND ALSO THE FRESH START REFERENCE LIKE 🥹🥹🥹💖💖
I LOVE this cover so much… You sillies did such a good job!! This is so awesome sauce ❤️✨🫶🫶

SHITS SO PEAK I CRIED OMGGG
in all seriousness though I genuinely did cry, your voices blend so well together and the visuals of Callie and Marie growing up together were absolute cinema. you two made absolute peak

This is so cute oh my god such a wholesome song 😭😭😭😭 didn't expect such a story behind it
