Thank you! This was very helpful...my husband and I are going to Norway & Italy this summer. We have been preparing and have almost all of the items listed here.

Just got back after 3 weeks in Europe. Our Italy travels included Genoa, Cinque Terre, Naples and Rome. I took a pair of sandals to use as slippers. Otherwise, a pair of each, black and white sneakers. The good kind that don't hurt. Also, nice thick socks to prevent blisters. A scarf is a must.
Thanks so much for all the tips. I shared your videos with my family who also were on the trip.

I just got back from Italy - walked and walked a lot. I wore socks advertised to prevent blisters - they were helpful: Feetures socks is the brand.

Thank you for this. My wife and I are going for our second trip to Italy in November so we won't need shorts but I cannot imagine standing in line to get into the Colliseum in July wearing long pants.
