“I really am a Mega, man!”

- The mega man

I swear, everyone says chain blast is to slow. Does nobody read the text saying you can detonate it manually my pressing down and fire?

I've seen a lot of rankings of Mega Man, and this hands down has to be one of the worst ones.

Man I haven't disagreed with a MM list this hard before, but I loved the video.  I offer you a few points:

As for MM6's fake out, I think Wily's bad disguise was intentional.  They wanted to keep the two castle end-game, but knew they couldn't do another fake out without being silly with it.  My biggest gripes with 6 is that the slide feels weird.
As for MM11, I'd implore you to look at Acid Barrier as a whole.  I believe it's possibly the best shield weapon in the series.  Yes, the shield itself only protects you from projectiles, but you're able to shoot with it active and those shots don't cost weapon energy.  I recently did a playthrough using only Acid Barrier and it was very fun.
My biggest criticism of MM7 is boss weaknesses.  It's hard to make boss fights still challenging with a weakness, but the fact that most of them can be stun locked takes all the fun out of it.  It's the first time playing a MM game that I didn't want to use weaknesses.  Also, Slash Man is the least fun RM in the entire series...
As for MM10, I disagree with the special weapons.  When I finally got around to playing 9 and 10 a few years ago, I went from using almost every weapon in 9 to only using Triple Blade in 10.  They were just way too niche.

Gotta disagree with the take on 11s music, but i agree on the safeness of the robot masters, save for maybe like acid man. At least the weapons are good

You can play as MEGAMAN or BASS!?
What is this? Some kind of Megaman&Bass????

Absolute Cinema

Everyone seems to complain about the claw grab on mega man 9 cheap shotting tou when it’s not supposed to do that, when you enter the screen the first time and you go to the very left side of the screen. The claw comes down, grabs you, and pulls you to safety and directly into the e tank. Then you don’t have to worry about it again

I think one thing I do like more in 11 was the controls mapping to make sliding a button along with an even faster weapon swapping in your analog stick which ended up being fun for speedrunning the game and quick swapping what weapon are effective around sections of the stages. Also with how they handled the weapon showcase in you testing the weapons and descriptions on them. I do hope that someday, they continue with classic, and they keep these things like the quick swaps and the weapon showcase.

Always nice to see 10 get some love! Criminally underrated game.

4:03 Fire Man is only hard if you spam your weapon. His AI is programmed to attack when you do.

Mega Man 10 is so good and was my favorite childhood game growing up. It’s really fun and still has lots of replay value even today with Mega Man 11 being the latest classic game in the series. Mega Man 11 is great, but 10 is still fantastic imo.

12:01 this boss fight was so much fun

"im pretty sure fire man is impossible without being hit"

(gamechamp3000 wimpers in pain)

Megaman 8 is my first ever game in the series, and I liked it. It's my favorite

Dude, you seriously should know by now about the no damage strategies against Elec Man and Fire Man. Heck, the one against Fire Man is so solid that I seriously think fighting Fire Man buster only is easier than fighting him with his weakness. 😉

Overall, not a bad list. I honestly think that my ranking of Mega Man 11 as my favorite is a pretty controversial choice, so really to each their own. Definitely agree on Mega Man 4 being my favorite NES Mega Man, though. 😎

There were definitely some interesting takes here. I thought that 6 was alright, even when 7 did way better with Rush armor exploration.  I kind of get that 11 suffered a bit with only 2 Wily Stages, but I actually picked up on the Double Gear real quick and wish there were was more music! 5 making it to top 5 is definitely a hot take, because I found the goofiness of the weapons less useful than 3’s selection. I am glad though that 7 and 10 are getting some love though, because I definitely think they’re under-rated!

39:11 LET'S GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE LOVE MEGA MAN 4!!!!!!!!!!!

(I especially love Dust man)

27:33 I can't wait to beat Napalm Man to get his ability!.. Alright I beat him!!... "N. Bomb"?

Awesome video! I pretty much agree with your list except for Mega Man 3, but i cant be to objectiv about it because it just has a special place in my heart. Finally somebody who loves Mega Man 10 as much as i do. The Level Design, the satisfaction of being able to beat the whole game only using the Buster, the Boss Fights, the music. Its just such a good game and i think more people should give it a chance. Also, for speedrunners this game is a dream thanks to the quick weapon switching (which is optional, you dont have to do this as an casual).

Mega man 11 has 2 of my favorite boss designs In all of mega man. Blast man and Fuse man
