Interesting how polarizing The Dark Tower series is for readers. I personally LOVE it but it’s definitely Stephen King at his most “weird” and it’s understandable that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Interesting that you enjoyed Insomnia though as that book is a HEAVY tie in to the Dark Tower series where the main antagonist actually has a presence at a point and it adds some exposition for certain characters for fans of the series(even though it is a stand alone) 🤷‍♂️

Considering starting his books next after I finish reading Brett Easton Ellis’ books. Appreciate this ranking so I know where to start

This is great! My mom is a huge Stephen King fan, but while I love horror and have liked several King movies, I don't think I've read any of the books as an adult! 😮 Now I know where to start!

Salem's Lot is a masterpiece.

Excellent tier list. Naturally, I have differing opinions on a few, but that is to be expected with an author with such a diverse range of works. I would definitely recommend some of his later books which went into your did not read category.
The Mr Mercedes Trilogy
Revival (this goes to some dark places)
Billy Summers (caught me off guard as to how good it was)
You Like it Darker
Fairy Tale
Duma Key

Also, I share your love for The Institute, and would like to see a film adaptation. (ONLY if it's done well)!!
Gratitude.

Oh the second Dark Tower book is totally different, and that's when I really got into the series. No regrets!

First time watcher! Enjoyed the video.
One tiny tiny complaint.. as someone who listens more than watches . I would have loved to hear book titles each time instead of “this book” or “this one”.
But look forward to watching more.

Just discovered this video and your channel! Loveeee seeing King rankings 🖤 Your being brave enough to be honest about Salem’s Lot earned you a subscriber LOL!

Night Shift I definitely read as a teen and loved it. We had the copy with the bandaged hand with eyes, which I really liked.

I realized that King has similar theme and plot device in Dead Zone, 11.22.63., needful things and maybe tommyknockers to a degree, in which those who wish to change their luck find punishment along the way.

Nice video! Very different ranking than the usual ones. Haha wait why didn't you like Paul Sheldon from Misery? The story really hinges on liking the guy I guess to root for him. :)

Gunslinger is one of may fav books of his, simply don't understand how anybody can read it and not like it.

The tier video was great! I read The Shining way back in High School. I just finished rereading it last night. As a mother now, this book hit me so much differently in the second go-round. Poor Danny. That boy will need serious therapy. 😭

Sorry I ask so many questions (lol) but my 10yro just finished the Maze Runner and Hunger Games series. He is looking for his next series that's similar. Any suggestions?

The Dark Tower slander is preposterous 😂 but I guess it can't be for everyone but man that whole series is some of his best writing and some of his best characters

OH MAN Dolores Claiborne is soo good. It's basically one long stream of consciousness which sounds so strange but it is riveting.

@kellymelo7145 1 year ago

Please read rose madder, it's so gOOD

@raralaiu9478 1 year ago

You should really read Dolores Claiborne, its one of my top 2 along with IT!

Okay so I've always wanted to read Stephen King because my mom is a huge fan. But I'm intimidated by the lengths of his books which is crazy because if I can read 3-4 300 paged books a month why not one of his 🤷‍♀️. I did read Bag of Bones last October and it was not bad. So now I'm going to start with your top tier rated ones and go from there!

I have read The Gunslinger this summer finally wanting to see what this Dark Tower thing was all about after three decades of reading many King’s books. I enjoyed the very first part but I hated the rest. Never liked fantasy much so I will not go any further on the Dark Tower and will concentrate on the novel King wrote outside the genre that I have yet to read. I’m a impressed you gave this book several chances to convinced you. I just can’t imagine doing the same
