Those DEI cars were legendary on the plate tracks.

I miss those old plate sounds.

Quote from Jeff Gordon's auto-bio, "I first met Junior at a racetrack when he was practicing in a piece of junk that I couldn't believe they allowed on the racetrack, I went up to Dale Sr. and said, 'hey, whats that all about?' He said, 'I'm not gonna give him the best equipment because hes my son, hes gonna have to earn it if he wants it.'"
If you want spoiled, there is a man named Steven Wallace.

It’s crazy that this exhibition race had more people in the stands than the 500 did this year

perfect example of how he's the 2nd best restrictor plate driver ever in NASCAR (to his father)

Tells you where NASCAR is today when the Bud Shootout has a larger crowd than the Daytona 500 this year...

I miss that #8.

This shows how far ahead Jr was on side drafting. He was doing it the whole time once he jumped to the outside of Wallace, yet you never heard DW or Larry mention it once. They thought they knew it all when it came to plate racing and Jr made them look really dumb in retrospect. Of course he probably had a few chats about it over his first years in racing with the master at this drafting game.

I love when Rusty refuses to Work with Junior, and Junior shows him his skills.

That boy could drive the hell outta them restrictor plate cars.

Chevy, the winningest car in nascar cup history

Man Jr. had a strong car, but Jeff also had one hell of a car. Those two were the class of the field that night. Idk what it was about that night, but Jeff's car looked more awesome than usual. Those flames at night made that whip look even faster.

4:46 - Jr. repeats the same slingshot that got him to the front in the 2001 Pepsi 400.

Miss these cars

The Pied Piper of Daytona

This is how jr drove last night!!

Tony Stewart caught that pack with NO HELP. Just like Truex at Daytona in July 2018

Damn, those DEI cars are were rockets on restrictor plate tracks. It seemed like either Jr or Waltrip were for sure gonna win

my god what a crowd

Handle them .. never let anyone  handle your legacies  to come❤❤
