Lindsay Clancy Felt Like A ‘Zombie’ Before Murders: Friend

Bethany Decollibus, a friend of Lindsay Clancy, took the stand Thursday to discuss their relationship and Lindsay’s mental health struggles before the deaths of her three children. Decollibus testified that the two saw each other nearly every week and often talked about Lindsay feeling exhausted and anxious. She recalled visiting Lindsay in January 2023 for Cora Clancy’s fifth birthday, when Lindsay said she was still struggling with sleep issues and felt like a “zombie.” Prosecutors allege Clancy killed her three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — inside their Massachusetts home in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Her defense argues she was suffering from severe postpartum mental illness at the time of the killings.

How often does a depressed person walk around or call everyone on the phone and announce they are depressed and suicidal? Does this prosecutor realize how many lives would be saved if people actually did that??? Depression doesn’t wear a sign and people don’t wear I’m suicidal Tshirts!!!

I hate this. When I tried to attempt to end it all, I was out with my friends at the cinema. Having a fun girly day, not a worry in the world. Mid movie I had to excuse myself, went home and OD’d. No one had a clue of my plan until they got a call about me being in hospital. No one walks around announcing the dark thoughts they feel. It’s embarrassing and scary.

I want to know why this prosecutor thinks people who are having mental health struggles go around telling everyone they know about them. She told her husband, she told her doctors, she told her parents, and I think his parents....

Why TF would she tell her friends and her nanny? This is incredibly intimate information that not everybody needs to know. Those who needed to know (like her doctors and husband) did know.

I masked my major depression and suicidal ideation for YEARS. No one in my life knew anything was wrong. I knew how to act so no one would suspect anything! And yet I was on the floor of my bathroom weeping every night while my husband slept 10 feet away from me. Every day on my drive to and from work I was figuring out how I could drive my car off the road to make it look like an accident. Most people keep their mental health challenges to themselves ESPECIALLY if they ever tried to tell someone something and they reacted badly and/or didn't offer any help/comfort.

Ive been depressed and had post partum and told no one and cried in my car whenever i had time to
Myself no one would have known its emberessing and no one talks about it so hard to tell! I could be the most confident person in the room youd never know how i was really feeling!

I believe she should be confined to a psychiatric facility for an undetermined amount of time. I think in any case it’s important for her to sit and listen to all of the testimony as difficult as that obviously is for her. Prison would serve no purpose whatsoever in addition she needs ongoing medical care with regard to her being paralyzed. I believe she suffered a psychotic episode when she murdered her children. This wasn’t premeditated and by all accounts she had been a wonderful mother.

My son couldn’t sleep not even with sleeping pills ,he had to be hospitalized,he lost touch with reality and had acute psychosis from the lack of sleep

This doesnt even sound like a close friend btw. The moms that I engage with relating to my children are not my true "friends"... and I wouldnt discuss anything like this to a mom friend. They're usually the most judgemental, rude, and unsupportive people and this woman appears no different in my opinion.

Oh my goodness this prosecutor is ridiculous with the exact same questions over and over and over and over again. I know the defense attorney comes across rude sometimes however I believe it's because of his frustration with these prosecutors. She had a mental break. Now we need to know if it was criminal or not. Without the expertise of psychiatric medical experts this question will not be answered!!!! So really, this is not helping their jurors in my opinion. When I am having emotional or physical problems I never share w others while out and about bc I never wanted to be a downer or complainer. However before my mom passed away I did share those issues with her when /if they occurred
