I feel like 90% of the soundtrack issues can be fixed by having a Midnight Club playlist system so people can listen to their favourite genre

For me police chatter was the biggest letdown. Somehow it sounds not like "professionals under stress" but bunch of kids/dudes on their weekend activity.

Heat was my reintroduction to NFS. Unbound immediately re-retired me.

What i miss from these modern NFS games is an offline mode where i can customize cars without spending a single cent and choosing any race to play on. Kind of like back in NFS Underground era ! Also the customization parts are always limited to 3 or 4 parts resulting in everybody has the same car unlike in Underground 1&2 where every thing has plus 10 parts on !! Man i miss the Underground series

Hot take: a great story in a racing game is what we need now more than ever

I play for the cars. As for the story and the feds, except Rydell, Yaz and some other characters, I'll say:

"Man. The cringe is strong."

As for the gameplay, the physics make our cars look fragile and weak. A tiny bit of collision will disable your car's NOS, drift and grip for seconds. The traffic also breaks road rules (stopping at intersections, U-turning on freeway and delayed collisions, which was supposed to be mentioned as "fixed" in Vol. 2).

As for customization, there are lots of bugs occurring when wrapping as well as the inability to load wraps properly until you click "Style" to fully load your wraps.

I think most poople expected a Hot Pursuit style game when they heard Criterion was taking over. But it was just Ghost Games in disguise.

See what sucks is that i actually like the online racing in this game a lot. I've literally made a unique eurobeat playlist that i only listen to when i play lockdown online. I genuinely believe that having a wide arrangement of music and a less intrusive story mode would've made the game way more interesting for people to pick up

I think the thing I hate most about unbound is that the cops are omniscient. You’re in a chase with them and even if you’re parked, hiding below them under a freeway overpass, if you happen to intersect their little circle, “Dispatch, we found that asshole!” - Chased by 4 cops. There is no hiding, and if you do an event with a B class or A class car, you get out of the race and now you just need to struggle run for 15 minutes, get lucky and then magically avoid any magical cop awareness circles.

I wish Heat got the online and updates treatment that Unbound got

My big issues was the style, car upgrades/customization, drive train & online progress. It always felt like I wasn’t progressing online.
