Welcome to the fourth episode in the *Shed Light series, a new pottery studio tour series where I visit working potters across the UK to explore the creative spaces where they bring their ceramics to life.
In this episode, we explore the garden studio(s) of Steve Brown - runner up contestant in the hit show The Great Pottery Throw Down (series 8).
After featuring in the show Steve transferred from his career in animation to become a full time potter working from his self-built studio(s) in the Herefordshire countryside.
Steve gives us a tour of his various studios spaces in his stunning, rambling gardens next to his rural home. He explains his transition from his original 5 x 7 ft shed studio to his current main 5 x 5 meter purpose built studio where he now creates his pottery.
Special mention go to her studio pals Georgie and Bonnie the labs.

Whether you're a potter planning your own studio, a ceramic artist looking for inspiration, or simply curious about the behind-the-scenes process of making pottery, I hope Shed Light gives you plenty of ideas.
The series continues throughout summer where I'll be visiting other inspirational UK potters to discover how their studios have been shaped by their creative practice, the challenges they face, and the unique ways they work.
