I am Mario. Collect my RedStars

My favorite thing about this hack is how the HUD subtly changes as you play, and it's never called out, it's just something you'll notice. It goes between beta layout and icons to the final layout and icons. I think some of the on-screen items change graphic style, too. It's basically a perfect representation of the theme of the hack, where you swear something was different, but you can't remember what or when.

Ironic that you published this video when you did because a highly anticipated rom hack that's very similar to B3313 called, "SM64 Liminal Dream" JUST came out.

9:31 Look up The Librarian's playthrough of B3313. It's the only time I've ever seen someone play B3313 before actual SM64 and it's so interesting seeing someone who has no knowledge of SM64 play something that's supposed to mess with veterans of SM64.

playing through B3313 using an HDMI to RCA adapter to play the game on my big CRT TV, along with using an actual N64 controller for it all, was one of the coolest and most immersive experiences i have ever had. highly recommend.

The recreated part of a dream is frying me so bad. It looks like a vinesauce shitpost

There will never ever, be another game like B3313.
One day we'll get too good at guides, too good at data mining, one day the magic will be broken one way or another, but now? It's an amazing time to experience this.

An aspect I love about B3313 is the subtle implications on a "possible lore" (I'm a sucker for lore), taking from several args and other beta inspirations, but not enough to make it the main focus, everything in B3313 feels expertly curated, it never gets too boring, you never discover too much, you never discover too little, it always feels like there's something beyond you.

(B3313 v1.0 SPOILERS KINDA)

I absolutely love how it doesn't even have a "real ending", the way you end up in the crimson rivers, go through a trial of obstacles, pass the eternal fort... All for what? All to just end up in an empty garden, somber music playing in the background, it doesn't explain anything, it doesn't give you satisfaction, it leaves you empty in a good way. And then your reward is... Just a couple extra levels, that's all.

It doesn't reward you for pushing even deeper, it just leaves you there.
Though, you're still trapped in the castle walls, aren't you?

Very good video, "Learning to walk again" is a great way to describe how it felt to play this

Everywhere at The End of Tick Tock Clock

You are the first person I have EVER seen use the word Anemoia in an actual sentence naturally, or even just know that word exists, besides myself. Which is just kinda amazing, and honestly makes me really happy.

You summed up my feelings about this romhack. It's the most singular and weirdest gaming experience I've ever had, this is insane work. Half the time I was first walking through this castle I was like "I've been here in my dreams, what the fuck"

B3313 is the best video game horror media ever produced. No, not horror video game, video game horror, in that it encapsulates all the specific fears that only those who have played video games could truly understand. The emptiness, the sense of not knowing where to go, the sense(which you later discover to be fact) that the game is changing and seemingly "breaking down" over time, the paranoia of feeling that the game is alive and watching your every move. To anyone who has played a significant number of games, the whole thing just feels wrong on a visceral level. The only thing that would scare me more is if someone made a similar experience for the original Tomb Raider game.

This is criminally underrated, you deserve more views and subs :D

I honestly believe that this game is the best representation of liminal spaces feeling. Even better than games and other medias that intetionally trying to emulate this feeling, i can't really explain with words specifically how this happen, the feeling of lost and trying to figure out what is happend, the ominious feeling that spread through all the places, the felling of being watched or at lest the feeling of constant insecure.
Nithing are under your control, the only thing you can do is walk through this dreamlike place exploring this infinity unknown, and the anemoia plus nostalgia increase this even more.
None liminal content in internet make so right than this game. This game is be the perfect inspiration for a backrooms/liminal game if someone wants to make one.

English is not my first language, sorry for errors.

B3313 is definitely one of the most unique and interesting romhacks i've ever played, and this is coming from someone who "completed" the game.

Also, one small correction, is that there isn't just 3 beta lobbies, but 5:

Beta lobby A, which is based on the beta, known as the B-Roll lobby (3,1,2,4)
Beta lobby B, which is the lobby for the creator's original levels (1,2,3,4)
Beta lobby C, which is a reference to the SM64 Classified ARG (3,3,1,3)
Beta lobby D, which can only be accessed by going through the left door in beta lobby C, and also inspired by the SM64 Classified ARG (2,1,3,[blank])
Beta lobby E, which is also based on the beta, known as the Shoshinkai lobby (3,1,2,4)

The only difference between the beta lobby A and E is on the HUD, in which beta lobby A will have the B-Roll hud, lookin like a purple bubble with the word "POW" or "POWER" on top and the numbers like in mario's lives are double digits, displaying like for example 01, and Beta Lobby E will have the Shoshinkai HUD, which looks like a wooden pizza board and with a single digit, this is because Beta lobby A is inspired by the promo videos prior to Spaceworld '95, while Beta Lobby E is directly inspired from the Spaceworld '95 demo, which explains why they look so similar, and if you go into the levels from both lobbies, you'll notice that while at first glance they look the same, they have subtle differences between levels like how bowser's submarine was accessible in the beta lobby E, but not in Beta Lobby A

I laughed a lot more a "crevASSe" then I probably should've 😭

this hack is fucking brilliant and I've seen many videos on it. Mario 64 is one of the reasons I absolutely love liminal spaces. You're highly underrated and very entertaining. Great video !!

Don't go to Vanilla Basement at night, you're gonna see something you wish you hadn't.

The mod is so good it only took me less than half a year to feel nostalgic over playing it.

Nice timing on this video, considering B3313 Integer Limit was announced recently, which looks even more insane than what we already have.

Genuinely amazing video, i thought it atleast had a couple thousand views by the quality of it, I was surprised finding out its only a few hundred
