Question - would you consider a side-hustle where people send you their builds and you review them with no mercy? I'd pay for that, ngl. 😂

I like to believe Rainelle bought those furniture before she died.

It makes sense for a single girlie to have dreams of renovating the mansion, but starting small at first. Probably save a little, and—whoops, she's scared to death.

I'm so ready for the roasting of the Bluewater village builds.

I think a popular theory regarding the furniture in the House of Fallen Trees is that it was Rainelle's stuff, and got left behind when she died.

the house of fallen trees is my eternal fave sims building ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

34:37 YES enough cozy games! Bring back nervous games lmao. Glad to see Paralives bring back that vibe recently

open for business IS my favorite pack! when i got the sims 2, it was a christmas present and it came with nightlife, university, and open for business.

Ah mid 2000’s nightlife, perfect for breakfast

I love how in the House of fallen trees furniture is clearly from that random girl that tried living here, but ghosts scared her to death. She just got the basics </3

soft seating (loveseat) or single armchair were unreasonably common in women's restrooms in the early 2000s, especially so in department stores in malls.

This has been such a great series so far! For Bluewater Village, even though it’s mostly community lots, I don’t think you really have to visit them with a sim since they’re not designed to be functional lots but rather ideas for businesses. I’d think the fairest way to judge them would be on their concept.

Sims 1 music at the begging of the video is so nostalgic!

That is a gay bar 100%! lmao I built a sauna once and it did not look that gay, love it

The House of fallen trees is definitely iconic. It haunts me till this day. I had a nightmare of that basement. No joke.

I'm almost 30 years old and it has been more than 20 years but the house of the fallen trees keeps scaring the hell out of me

A "technical room" behind the lanes is, in my TS2 dictionary, a "mess around room" (I use some woohoo mods). Green&pink bowling alley is actually my No.1 dating spot, bc it has it all: the VIBE (not exactly my favourite, but I can't deny that it's very clear, and the style is consistent and prominent), dining (with two types of sitting!), bowling AND other games, even a little dancing, and an accessable behind-the-lanes room. The only thing missing is a bar, but it's been 20 years and I've just realized it's not there, so I guess it's not really missing.

Also, thanks for reviewing The Hub. It's been 20 years, and I might never actually checked it out myself. Had no idea it's so very much gay! Which is funny, bc I was struggling with my own build of a kind lately (I ended up not liking at all). Turns out we have a gay club at home, and it's really good - what a nice surprise from EA! Gonna rather use their lot from now on, thanks again!

Several of these builds are a nightmare once Seasons came into play.

It becomes clear that the community lots were the stars of this neighbourhood. No surprise really, but it certainly feels like EA only put in some residential lots to show off the new garages and driveways. Nonetheless I am glad they still managed to squeeze in some uncomfortable and weird lore in. The circumstances of the Tricou family deaths is certainly weird (I recommend the Simlore video on this). In any case, the community lots, aside from a few duds, are GORGEOUS in Downtown. There is a lot of variation and lot of similiar types, so you can always choose what you feel like at the moment. Some of those lots were really EA at their best (in terms of building). Definitely took some inspirations for my own builds from there.

Also the table lights you pointed out should not be a problem. I remember this pack introducing two table lights, one is that square one, another one is the romantic candle light. They both work with dining tables without any issues. Same with the ketchup, mustard and napkin dispenser. It's functional restaurant deco.

13:18 - The pink and green is giving me Fairly Odd Parents vibes. Cosmo and Wanda. 🧚
