The craziest part is Taylor saying she grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm in Reading, PA⌠When her parents had 2 separate homes, one a mansion there and the Christmas Tree Farm being a âgiftâ from her dadâs client because he owed him⌠The Swifts also owned a New Jersey beach front property house⌠Poor people donât own several houses or properties. That house they had in Tennessee when they moved there was a Mansion and she drove a Hummer to school. None of âhumble beginningsâ makes senseâŚ
Itâs amazing how much her mom escapes criticism. Most people always go after her dad, but her mother is more sinister to me give sheâs the reason why Taylor developed an ED & is Taylorâs âtherapistâ. Thereâs sooooo much enmeshment between the two, yet it goes almost completely overlooked because people focus so much on her dad. People forget Taylorâs mom is also a pro at this networking game tooâŚ..
Considering she made her debut album at 16. It is not surprise that her parents are behind her doing all sort of things to increase her odds at success. Just like most of pro athletes parents that invest on their kids young.
you are actually UNDERselling the abercombie photoshoot importance: it may be that Scott's money and that one abercombie photoshoot is the whole reason Taylor Swift has a career at all. Scott Brochetta did not even care to meet Taylor or hear her sing live before he saw that photoshoot. IDK why but that man is OBSESSED with those photos! Even decades later when Taylor had done a lot and had a slew of albums out, Scott kept talking about that photoshoot and that being the moment he knew she was special. It's lowkey creepy bc she was so young in those photos but it's interesting how Scott did not care about her music but recognized the marketing opportunities instead. He saw so much marketing potential in those photos that he quit his job in the industry and started a brand new record company with Taylor's dad's money that had Taylor Swift as its number 1 priority.
As soon as I learned of her parentâs careers as she was growing up I realized EVERYTHING we were fed about her was BS. Sheâs my definition of an âindustry plantâ
My husband went to high school with her. She was completely engineered. There were less fortunate kids who were all INSANELY TALENTED but didnât have the means to make it big. This is Hendersonville High and close to Nashville. She would perform at talent shows next to incredible talent and people would smirk because, letâs face it. She wasnât THAT GREAT. Then the cameras came in and she got veneers. She hung out with all the cool kids and talked about how she was going to be famous. She lived in a very nice neighborhood in a huge house. She is a product and was literally shoved down our throats. Itâs was a well known fact that daddy had money and connections.
I know her team has done a good job of keeping this all squashed down over the years, but I remember this somewhat always being the narrative around her dad and her career beginning.
Taylor swift dad wanted credit the way that Beyonce gives credit to her dad for her career and the way that Michael Jackson and his dad has been synonymous in his career
It's wild to me to think that there is probably a timeline where Taylor was a nickelodeon star turned popstar and Ariana was a country star turned pop star.
A lady pushing forty, singing about juvenile things, hawking forever plastic bracelets at concerts purposefully focusing on screaming hormonal girls parents paying thousands for a sub par industry plant is stunningly alarming.
I was once talking to some friends about how Taylor and Britney stories are so similar, except from how the parents dealt with it, and now I'm 100% sure Taylor's were just smarter
That birth announcement is very creepy, especially in the context of the weird email. Itâs incredible that the Swift parents have avoided the âtoxic stage parentsâ label Ă la Joe Simpson, Lynn Spears, Brooke Shieldsâ mom, etc.
