They didn't even discuss the fact that the cab driver had signed a medical document stating he would be responsible for her. I think that should hold a good deal of weight

She needs an attorney. She has a case for negligence. Use his testimony as evidence.

I thought this poor woman was going to get 5K, I am unhappy with this ruling. The second cab wanted to charge her friend too. The owner did not follow up on the case. Not good judge

They should have laws in place where a cabbies can't just drop people off anywhere under a life threatening situation such as this extreme cold weather

This case was disgusting. She wasn't just waiting for a cab too long she was stranded in Buffalo(which is a dangerous area) still sedated...the Judge and the defendant took it way too lightly.

I can't tell you how many times the drivers don't even show UP. It's a state service to low income people and it would be lovely if it actually worked.

$50 gift card to receive additional services? That’s like offering you free food after finding spit in your initial order. I wouldn’t have accepted it either. Who would put themselves at risk again? This was a bad ruling.

For everything the plaintiff went through she should have gotten at least $1000 as a lesson to the drivers that you don't treat your customers like this. I don't like how this case went. May God bless her in good health and happiness 🙏

I'm kinda upset that the plantiff didn't get more money. He/his company put her out of the car twice at below zero temps while she was in his care. I bet it was stressful as hell. The driver is/was a jerk.

This ruling was so insulting to the plaintiff. I can't believe Judge M would rule this way. I think some "rough justice" was deserved here! That poor lady - I love her spirit <3

I see her filing complaints with not only the insurance company but with the BBB and the government licensing agencies. She is not going to let this go and I can't really blame her. This was outrageous but what was really worse was they purposely ignored her hoping she would just go away
