The delusional person’s world is the one s/he believes in. Truth is a lie to them. They perceive truth-telling as gaslighting.

Narcissists are easy to manipulate because their delusions revolve around being infallible, the smartest and their adversaries are invariably stupid (splitting). Rather than develop multiple scenarios of reality, they superimpose the delusion on it.

Ich habe oft das Gefühl, dass in der Politik und auch bei der Presse ständig gegaslightet wird, so dass man oft nicht mehr weiss, was ist nun wahr oder Lüge. Besonders auch bei bestimmten Demonstrationen - wo dann auch noch Schuldumkehr stattfindet. Vielen Dank für Ihre unermüdliche

10:37 I'd have said "where only one interpretation of reality is considered to be possible". In that situation, there seems no reason to verify if what appears to be true is in fact true.
USA has a scornful term for fact-checking, which is denigrated as "second-guessing" , which implies that truth and reality are determined by every initial gut-feeling.

Objectivity is perhaps not a static state. Our perception of such is always relative, the convincing of a group tends to be much more difficult than a group can affect the individual.

Though group think has blind spots, perhaps individual perception too is imperfect.

It is increasingly difficult to find the middle.

The "Firehose of Falsehood": This is a propaganda framework characterized by broadcasting a high volume of arguments—combining true data points, distorted context, and blatant lies—rapidly and repetitively. The goal is not to convince the listener of a specific narrative, but to completely overwhelm and confuse them so they give up trying to find the truth.

Yes the narcacist is extremely delusional they really do think they are so amazing,so clever,so right and yes they love belittling others like they absolute geniuses and always right.
It's actually so interesting how they process life,I understand them very well now after having a father like this and my previous ex.
