If I catch any of you feeling bad about Target: The Game Of Life, we’re going out and playing more baseball.

A common thread among bad adaptations of The Game of LIFE is that they forego the quintessential game mechanic of the Orphan Loop(TM)

I would only have belived Generations was designed by Millennials rather than GenXers if it had brought back the Suicide Square.

@EeveeFromAlmia 4 months ago

I love it’s almost impossible to tell with the old games as to what is ‘normal thing in the 1960’s’ and ‘what the game designers thought would be funny’

When I first visited the USA in 2007, my mother's friend's husband told me that if you want to win at life, you hit the casino. You either walk out of there rich or married. I understand now.

My oldest brother made a Game of Life version called “The Game of Strife” where all the cards are terrible.

Instead of “doctor” or “lawyer” for jobs, you got “owl poacher” or “drug dealer” or “sugar baby”

It was amazing, and he refuses to play it with us again despite the amazing laughs it gave us

not sure what's funnier, the suicide space or premarital sex as mechanic

edit: divorce

4:26 "Fans waited 100 years for a follow-up and all they got was a reboot"

Oh, so Star Fox

"Being a millennial means you get everything later and worse"
...Accurate tbh

@urmom-xi2ft 4 months ago

the suicide square has to be the most insane thing i've seen today

My LifePod broke, and now my existence is devoid of any meaning. Without it, I am unable to die; but in return I am unable to truly live.

"location, yeah in your head, rent-free" is the hardest bar i've ever heard

@Xyrehn 4 months ago

My main reaction to the "wimpy" game of life is that the board looks like it should be on the back of a cereal box so I'm glad we're in agreement on the swagger

"How do i avoid dice's association with gambling? I know! A weird dreidel. No kids would ever play a gambling game with a dreidel!"
-Milton Bradley, probably.

Whoever got tech support in my family basically got a free win because I CANNOT spin the spinner without derailing it to save my life 😭

@kyuven 4 months ago

"Being a millennial means getting everything later than everyone else, but worse."
Yeah, yeah that tracks.

@Tinytube_Tenbucks 4 months ago

The 50k reward for the original tech support job doesn't specify another player must run the spinner off the track, meaning whoever gets that job gets a guaranteed 50k every turn

@sebaufiend 4 months ago

"Being a millennial means you are getting everything everyone else got, not only later, but worse"... yeah I wasn't expecting to get blasted with psychic/emotional damage in a board game review video today.
