"It is with great reluctance that I have agreed to this calling. I love democracy. I love the Republic." - Chancellor Padme Amidala probably

I can imagine a broken Anikan weeping in the temple after her assassination that he never got to see her again

Padme, " notice how attempts on my life have not only increased, but the clear desperation behind them. The grandiose open attacks and complete disregard of innocents just to make sure I'm dead. Clearly this means I'm doing something right, as only criminals and those with something to hide make such efforts."

Wow that was bitter sweet, but one of your best Padme centric stories. Didn't expect her to steal Sly Moore from Palpatine, gutsy move on Padme's part but a excellent choice. Mon Mothma would not have gotten her to Chancellor in this timeline.

You know, it's weird to see official dates in Star Wars that were before the Battle of Yavin be labeled in their own time as "BBY".
"You know, I've been a record-keeper for a couple hundred years, but I just now realized I don't know what 'BBY' stands for."
"Oh, it means 'Before the Battle of Yavin'."
"... Wait, what?"
"Yeah, the Battle of Yavin, which will take place in 0ABY, will be the turning point of the war between the Rebel Alliance, a group of freedom fighters and politicians looking to defeat the Galactic Empire and re-establish the Republic, and the Galactic Empire, under the command of Emperor Sheev Palpatine, who used the Clone Wars as a way to crown himself Emperor and eliminate the Jedi, while secretly playing every side against each other under the guise of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. This is the battle where the first Death Star, a planet-killing superweapon engineered by the Geonosians, will be destroyed by Luke Skywalker, son of the Jedi  hero of the Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker. Anakin Skywalker, however, will be turned to the Dark Side by the end of the Clone Wars and become Darth Vader, apprentice and enforcer for Darth Sidious, the man responsible for the use of the Death Star against the peaceful planet of Alderan. Alderan will be home to Princess Leia Organa, adopted daughter of Rebel Senator Bail Organa, and secret twin to Luke Skywalker, who herself will be a high-ranking operative in the Rebellion responsible for the Rebel Alliance receiving the plans for the Death Star. This will only be only possible due to the assistance of a smuggler by the name of Han Solo, whose ship, the Millennium Falcon, will be used to orchestrate her rescue from the first Death Star after her capture by Darth Vader, with the main force behind the rescue being Luke Skywalker and the former Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi, who served as Jedi Master to Anakin Skywalker. While Luke, Han, and Han's co-pilot and partner-in-crime Chewbacca, a Wookie from the planet of Kashyyyk who will assist Republic forces in the Clone Wars and who will owe Han a debt of loyalty for saving his life, rescue Leia from the Death Star's prison, Kenobi will seek out Vader to allow them time to escape. Vader and Kenobi will briefly battle, with Kenobi surrendering to Vader and falling while Han, Leia, Luke, and Chewbacca look on in horror, before escaping to the Millennium Falcon, and will travel to the hidden Rebel Base on the fourth moon of the gas giant Yavin, better known as Yavin IV, where Leia delivered the plans. Han, upon delivery of Leia to the safety of the Rebel base, will declare his job done and appear to leave just before the Battle of Yavin, but he will prove himself loyal to the Rebellion by returning to the space battle above Yavin IV and getting a good sneak attack on the personal Advanced Tie Fighter of Darth Vader, disabling the ship. This will allow Luke the peace necessary to trust fully in the Force and allow it to guide his X-Wing Fighter's torpedoes to the Star Destroyer's weak point, an unshielded heat exhaust port. After the Rebellion's victory and the destruction of the Death Star, Luke, Leia, and Han will all receive medals in recognition of their contribution to the cause of the Rebellion. Chewbacca will attend the ceremony, but receive no recognition for his role in the events."
"... Wait, why didn't they give Chewbacca a medal?"

"Election of 28 bby!"

"Hey Palpatine whays bby mean?"

"Honestly no f#$%ing clue"

What if Barriss and Ahsoka started a peaceful protest inside the Jedi Temple rather than Barriss bombing it?

I can see Palpatine trying to have Padmé killed before her coronation.

What if Jedi allowed attachments?

Padme sipping her drink on naboo after faking her death.

26:23
"Not to mention the billions of *dollars*-"
Sometimes the funniest slip ups aren't the ones that are immediately obvious.

Wow that ending was bitter sweet

"We're going to make Republic great again!!"  -palpatine probably

What if Naboo militarized as a whole?

The gungans have interesting shield tech while the humans have a lot of money.

That was…wow like wow, might be the best one I’ve ever heard

The lack of Skywalker was refreshing

I love this version of Padme vs Palpatine. She is just what was needed. Her death was sad. Sigh.

"Next time aim for the head" is peak

Chancellor Padme would get assassinated so fast by Palpatine who would set it up such that it looks like the jedi and their warmongering ways were behind it xD. But the jedi also seem to like Padme’s politics in general so they probably would have people protecting her the moment they caught wind of nefarious buisness
