Sir, the fascination of that gun literally leaps off the screen; thanks for shearing.

I do like that with the mag loading idea 🎯🎯👍👍😄

What a video Vin! Great shooting considering how blowy it looked. I have a fenman with a hedua stock and it looks incredible in sunlight . I have never seen such a beautiful wood but its hard to describe.  Thanks for the video, it was appreciated.

I remember back in the day thinking the SLR98 advertised in Airgun World looked a bit tasty.

That's a good comparison Vin, Battle of the Rammers.
I once bought a Theoben Olympus but never liked it, awful trigger too so sold it for a HW90 which I loved. 90s have very good triggers. Both .177.

Only one SLR for me mate that’s the Lee Enfield swift and bold Vin.

Try get hold of a bsf 55 put it against the 99

Hi vin, I enjoyed your review.
👍 I've ordered the tbt tuning kit for my weihrauch hw 98 hopefully arrives tomorrow also from my local
Gun shop I've ordered the Weihrauch HW 90 can't wait 😀 it was good to see the HW 90 in action Too much fun 😄

You really do come into to contact with some stunning rifles sir. That theoben is bloody stunning sir. Thinking of shopping in my last 2 PCP guns and getting a couple of high end self powered beauties. Brilliant video Vin.

I’ve had all the Theoben Gas Rams, beautiful stocks by Custom Stocks Sheffield, nice engineering, beautiful blueing…etc etc. The downside were the Gamo triggers, and gas rams are really harsh, plus the SLR 98 is a very heavy lump, though a lovely work of art. P.S When I said I’ve owned them all, I include, two Fenmans, two Siroccos, and one 98, I don’t mourn the sale of any of them, yes they’re accurate, due to Walther barrels, but the shooting cycle is harsh.

Lovely rifle Vin, great to see it in action against the HW90. Yes, there are plenty of rifles out there that will do exactly the same as the Theoben, but as you said it is the engineering prestige behind it that will attract the collectors. Sad thing is it will probably end up on a wall then and hardly shot.

The luck i had when i came ower my theoben slr98 😅 i saw it behind the desk at my local gun shop the magazine was missing but he sold it if i could find a magazine and so did i do so i paid around 500 uk pounds for it in mint condition hope you will be getting your hands on one asvel vin

Thought you meant L1A1 haha nice one vin 👍🎯😄

Hi Vin, I just received a Beeman RX yesterday dates back to 93.

They are both desirable guns Vin. I would like to have a HW90 in my collection some day. I'm not going to spend money on a new one but who knows, maybe a nice used one will cross my path some day. There are not many sold of them over here i guess because i hardly see them used. Enjoyed the video my friend 👍👍👍

According to Ben Taylor it stands for Steve Lilley Rifle

I really enjoyed that, imagine if that SLR was still being made what it would cost! That HW90 sounded nice, how do you think the trigger compared to a Rekord?

£2 grand on a 30 year old underlever gas ram?, no i wouldn't buy it tbh Vin, id rather a hw100X forest laminate sporter with a dnt 4k scope.

Does the SLR use the same H.E. piston as the 90? Just curious if it's as easy to fix the air piston when it eventually leaks. I know the piston on the 90 is easy to work on and usually just requires a simple O ring (s) replacement.

Both look fantastic guns Vinny but you're looking at some top end prices for the SLR. Crazy money.
I'm assuming the main difference between both is the trigger?
