The Most Unexpected Little Gatehouse in Cornwall

Kirsten & Joerg: 2 Germans in Britain

We spent a magical weekend at Quercus Lodge, the tiny octagonal gate lodge at the entrance to Trematon Castle in Cornwall. Inside it's a world of colour, pattern and imagination, with House of Hackney interiors and designs inspired by William Morris. Beyond the lodge, the estate is just as enchanting - ancient stone, romantic garden, the Indian Pool and even chickens with their own little castle.

Come along as we explore this extraordinary place and escape into a different world with us.

You two may be German, but you do more to promote British culture than most Brits. Kudos for the good work! Love Kirsten’s soft, pleasant voice. Whenever I’m feeling stressed out, hers is my go-to voice to listen to.

I am a maximalist and love color and pattern. Life is boring without color. Beautiful video as always! ❤

Well, you have to remind yourself that people who have nothing to do but dropping negative comments are very sad themselves. Thank you for your work, it helps me relaxing, especially during this difficult period. ❤
