This band finally (in 2022) drew my currently 13 yr old sons into music. We’ve got a boys trip planned to The Gorge to celebrate their 14th. Can’t wait!!

Thumbs up if you're going to see DMB in 2022!! This band brought about my love for music especially playing guitar. I'll never forget my buddy Josh Sack (rip) telling me to go out and get UTTAD back in 1994. Almost 30 years and over a hundred shows later, this band's music still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. And seeing them after being locked down/covid makes each show that much sweeter. I hope they tour forever!!!!

At the humble age of 23, I can now say that I've been listening to DMB for 10 years now. Thank you big sis!

Dave defines driven. Heart of a Quaker; Brain and body of a warrior

Finally after All these years They made it into the Hall of Fame!!!❤❤❤

The world is a much better place with Dave.

He was born with a gift...
I absolutely love Dave.

Live at Luther College is still probably one of the greatest live albums…

The college band I was in at Bridgewater College opened up for them on February 13, 1992. It’s funny looking back but at the time we were not happy because we thought that night was just going to be us playing. When we did our sound checks, we discovered that most of our instruments couldn’t be used so that we didn’t mess up their instruments (or take the time to switch everything out between bands). That made us more upset because we had things like the keyboard programmed for certain songs and we couldn’t use those presets.. and I couldn’t play my own acoustic but had to play Dave’s.

However, as soon as we heard them do their sound check, we all looked at each other with mouths open, amazed at how good they sounded . Halfway through the night I knew the Dave Matthews Band was going to be huge, but it wasn’t until 2-3 years later that I heard them on the radio from a car next to me and I thought, “that song sounds familiar”.  Sure enough, it was them on one of the main rock stations in the area.

I was 29 and driving to work the first time I heard DMB on the radio.  I was mesmerized by the voice, the unique mix of instruments and I just felt it in a way that's hard to describe.   I was an instant fan of this band.  I left work when the stores opened each time a new album dropped.  Attended every concert in the DFW area and it was my son's first concert when he was 13.  I'm 55 now and still adore this band.  I think they'll forever be my favorite.

I loved Under the Table and Dreaming. 10 years later I had the fantastic experience of working for these artists- DMB cares about people- every fan, every human working to make every show happen. If I were to describe the band in 2 words I would say GENIUNE and TALENTED.  Truly amazing.

If my memory is correct, I first saw DMB on a Friday night at Trax when they opened for the Smithereens. Had never heard or heard of DMB. As I was walking in I heard them playing from outside and I was immediately blown away or entranced. I stood watching the rest of their show in awe. Never heard a band groove like them…except maybe the very early Beatles. After the Smithereens came on, I watched about three songs and left…what was the point? The next day as I was working at a local car dealer some guys came in the buy a car and I started telling them about this amazing band I saw the night before. Turned out, one of the guys was close to or worked with DMB. When they played the Bayou in Georgetown, I invited music friends to go along. I’d been to the Bayou a hundred times…that was the most packed I had ever seen it. Next time and last time I saw them was probably in 96 or 97 at the Nissan Pavilion in Gainsville. Great show! I routinely get through Batesville and sometimes walk dogs there with my daughter and I point out to her the field where DMB played one of their early shows. Last time I checked there’s still a stage in that field…wonder if it’s the same one they played on. That’s my DMB story.

God how I loved this band- still do, all these years later. Cannot wait to see them in Denver!

I remember recording this on vhs. I can almost quote this word for word!

Carter though... You mean to tell me that guy brought a kit that big to college shows?! That's the kind of work ethic no one talks about. That's epic!

I've seen them live 54 times. Nothing compared to most people. I love this man. I was born January 9th '71. Found out I had the same birthday on my 30th - best gift ever.

Fell in love with his music since Under the Table and Dreaming came out in 94, one of my all time favorite bands!

Senior year of high school. I was with my two best friends, driving around at night after smoking some weed and jamming out to music. I was looking through my buddy’s CD binder and came across a DMB album. “Oh, I’ve heard of them before”, I thought. He puts the cd in and skips to Satellite. I had never heard it before, but wow. My cannabis altered mind couldn’t help but lay back, close my eyes and drift off into pure bliss. That was 2002. While my friends never really explored the rest of what DMB has to offer, they quickly turned into my favorite band. It was such a great time to find them, as downloading music from Napster and Limewire to burn onto CDs was at its height. Unlike some other bands I liked, there were SO many Dave songs that were easily downloadable. It really allowed me to have access to such a wide span of their music.

Throughout the years, I’ve had the chance to see them live a couple times. I’ve been to a lot of concerts, but there is nothing like a DMB show. Their music has been with me to celebrate the good times, and to weep away the bad. To this day, they are still my favorite band. I’m hoping to see them this summer in Mansfield, MA.

DMB is one of my Top Ten most favorite bands, EVER!! ❤❤❤

This band saved my life.  Honestly.  Forever grateful and listen to them daily.  Thank you for the vid!!!  Explains so much.
