Why Does Spider-Man Still Work?

Spider-Man has been around for more than six decades, yet every generation seems to find a new version of the character worth caring about.
But why?
What is it about Spider-Man that keeps working across movies, games, animation, and comics — even after countless stories, reboots, and different versions of the character?
In this video, we look at what makes Spider-Man so enduring, why his ordinary problems matter as much as his extraordinary powers, and why being Spider-Man has always been about more than simply being a superhero.
Maybe the reason Spider-Man still works is that, underneath the mask, he never stops being human.

He really is SPECTACULAR

Spider-Man holds up a mirror to each one of us and asks the same question: "You have these incredible gifts, powers, and abilities, you are capable of doing a lot of good for people with them, are you going to live up to this responsibility or bury it to the detriment of all the potential it could have had to save lives, to impact lives, to give hope to others, had you applied them well when you had the chance?"

So many of us learn this lesson the hard way like Peter when he realizes that his decision to not stop that thief resulted in the murder of Uncle Ben. Omitting our ability to do the right thing whenever we can has tangible consequences.
