"Big ups to my boi spiderman" - Doctor Von Doom

"M.. mr.. Mr. Stark?"
-Spiderman

Doom: I’ll kill everyone

Russo brothers: not Spider-Man because his solo movie made over billions

Doom: except Spider-Man!!!

Big ups to my boy spiderman

This is actually one of the better Doom/Peter theories I’ve seen because the “same wound, opposite answer” idea fits both characters extremely well. Doom loses everything and tries to conquer reality itself to undo the loss; Peter loses everything and willingly accepts the loss to save everyone else.

But there’s another layer I keep coming back to: RDJ.

If Doom somehow has Tony Stark’s face, then Peter may not be as psychologically untouchable as he appears. Doom studies pressure points, and Peter has survived losing May, MJ, Ned, his identity, his resources and essentially his entire life. But imagine Peter being the one person who remembers the old reality and then having to look into the face of the man he still associates with Tony Stark while knowing the person behind those eyes is Victor von Doom.

That wouldn’t just make Peter Doom’s witness. It could make Peter the one person Doom can manipulate in a way nobody else can; and simultaneously the one person uniquely positioned to see through him.

I’m leaving the “why does Doom have Tony’s face?” part alone because I have a whole separate theory about that 😂 but I think the Peter/Doom connection you’re describing could go even deeper than the Anchor Being angle. I also have a feeling that mcu version of Jean that was in the latest Spider-Man movie will have something to do with the brainwashing of everyone believing Doom is actually their god, creator etc. in secret wars. Great breakdown though man, I’ll subscribe

It's cool how they're applying a game design approach to movie writing

"big ups to my boy, Spiderman"

-Doom

I feel tom's spiderman and sadie sink's jean are gonna be the main players in secret wars .

Peter being 616’s anchor actually makes sense, I didn’t understand why Deadpool was looking for Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, actually I think I just forgot. And the fact that there are rumours circulating online that Cillian Murphy may be the real Doom would actually fit in a way if we are taking it into consideration, because the way I see it, Robert Downey Jr. is paid a lot for Doom’s role, so he may have more screen time, and his face may later be revealed to Peter to exert the emotion that Peter would feel after he sees his mentor be the one who destroys the multiverse with incursions, and be devastated and manipulated after that. It also applies with the Avengers because they also knew his face and they may be devastated and feel shocked when they see him, a manipulative Doom tactic. And because in Infinity War, remember Thanos said that he knows Tony Stark is, but maybe he was not referring to 616’s version as there are multiple Starks out there, and 616’s version of Stark tried to build to protect the world but along the way destroyed his, specifically through Ultron. And he rewrote everything with the time machine he built. So there may be other Starks in the universe who started everything, and either built or destroyed his own universe.

That is why Doom chose Tony Stark’s face from across the universe, and his real face may be Cillian Murphy’s. He chose Stark’s face because Stark is the one who built and destroy everything in his own universe.

And what is Doom doing?

He’s destroying the multiverse, and building his own Battleworld.

Spider-Man is the ONLY one that looked up to Tony Stark. He's the father figure he never had, so indeed that sentimental attachment will play a role

Peter's pressure point is Doom's face itself

Funnily enough, my introduction to Doctor Doom was through the 1991 Spider-Man arcade game.

Dr. Doom: I dont have to erase your memory kid.......U are already forgotten

Yeah spiderman will be as important as iron man in endgame in secret wars so, he’ll have a big role in secret wars and I wonder why…

It’s the Russo brothers so they likely destroy everything. But if I had to assume why spider man makes it out, it’s because his SOLO movie just made over 2.2 billion.

From your theory, imagine Doom with magic gives Spiderman back memories of Ned and MJ in battleworld..

now Peter has to choose that or returning the memories of all others' memories that were lost

and at the end Spiderman sacrificed even more as a hero

Real reason “is big up to my boi spider-man”- dr doom

This is perfect, honestly I never disliked MCU Spiderman trilogy, because you see him as the hero who carries the torch from Iron Man, Dr Strange, and now Punisher in a way, he had a bond with some of the most important characters in the MCU he was his pupil, friend and comrade, I never saw the spiderman iroman relationship as something bad, it was perfectly crafted as an inverse story where spiderman becomes a hero after losing it all. To me it makes perfect sense that he will be the center point of the MCU after Tony, and the fact that Doom is Robert Downey Jr. Exploring his relationship with an older Peter who still loves Mr. Stark but carries his legacy and maturity will challenge Doom.

I'm loving this video, Dr. Doom said the Avengers had lived stolen lives and must give them back, yeah Steve Rogers went bank into time, Strange's spell broke the multiverse when the villains and other Spider-Man came into Earth 616, Loki is currently holding the timelines of the multiverse, and it's all going down from here and Doom is coming for all of them.
