Who supports the caregivers?
When Jigme Wangmo’s daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy, taking on the role of a caregiver took a toll on her own mental health and well-being.
With support from different channels, including counselling at her daughter’s school and therapy through The PEMA Secretariat, Jigme and her family were able to find support and navigate some of the challenges they were facing.
Jigme also discovered yoga and experienced its benefits for her mental and overall well-being.
But when we talk about adolescent mental health, caregivers are often overlooked. Behind every child who needs care, there may be a parent or caregiver carrying their own worries, exhaustion and struggles. They too need care and support to keep caring for others.
Through this story, Humans of Thimphu, in collaboration with UNICEF Bhutan, The PEMA Secretariat and the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, stands with caregivers who continue to make a difference in their children’s lives while navigating their own mental health challenges.
Because caregivers need care, too. ❤️

I personally believe from my experiences that you go through all these mental health problems to learn alot about your body and the World especially.
May all the ones dealing with it remember that these obstacles are part of your divine alignment in the coming days . Make sure to do some movement, meditation and please please please believe in god , believe in guru rinpoche .his plan is always best and you are his child , child of greatest being
