If your rhythm playing sounds boring or repetitive, it's not a knowledge problem, it's a "when to use it" problem. That's exactly what my brand new course Creative Rhythm System fixes → https://go.danielseriff.com/crs-sale

This might be one of the most useful guitar video for a long time

Ive been learning theory in preparation for joining my church worship team. This video was EXACTLY what i needed for where i am in my triad journey.

This is probably the best explained triad video I’ve see so far, thanks the the diagrams on screen and love that you’re so chill!

I had to laugh when you said that viewers had "mastered" triad shapes. I've watched this class 3 times, downloaded the teaching material and practice track, and have been practicing these forms almost daily, and I'm far from "mastering" them. As a lifelong student of the guitar this was new material for me; not the shapes themselves, but the ways of looking at them and connecting them. You are an exceptional teacher. Thank you.

Whoa! This is definitely in my top 10 videos, "I wish had been made and seen by me 40 years ago"
I figured out early on how to pick apart chords and make clean little high string shapes but I never knew what it was called.
Since the pandemic I've been sitting around figuring out music theory and this is one of the best videos I've seen for learning the triads, memorizing the major/minor  shapes (& dim.), and making really good sense of how voice leading works all in one neat little package.
I do believe that even a week or two with this will 10x you're playing. My mind's already making a lot of connections that I had kind of ignored before

We can start re-learning well known songs right away using only triads and moving the scale up and down.
Gracias maestro!

thanks for sharing

Clear. Concise. Straightforward. Some of the best lessons anywhere. Great work.

“You can’t just watch a video into playing the stuff really well” damn this hits home great reminder

Great video Daniel!

Hey Daniel I'm proud of you brother, How many teachers are in YouTube and well skilled musicians but you understand the simplicity of good instructing, you are outstanding and a blessing my friend a lovely individual  because your helping alot of people out with your knowledge and giving them what they long for, and giving these hidden gems for free too, what a blessing

I've watched the 2-3 soloing videos and they are just incredibly accurate literally it helped soloing to any song quicker and easier

I have a request video that I would love to see, You see how basicly the guitar neck doesn't have to learnt all in one go, swallowed in one go, I believe alot can be taught from only the first 5 frets

It would be cool to make the first 5 fret series, were everything is just done in the 5 frets alot of people are stuck playing the original chords around the first fret for everything, but it would be great to expand the playing in the 5 frets with all sorts of chords that are there along with fancy chords like 7s and m9 jazz, blues, classical, all in the first 5 frets, along with scales in the 5 frets that can be mastered and used effectively to solo sounding pleasant.
It would be a great concept because it would help learning all the notes in the first 5 frets too, that's my request video Daniel and who better to explain it

Features like,

The First five frets

●Effective scales/ intervals/ Triads/ Dorian/ Appregios/ 2note harmony/ landing on chords

●Chords/Beautiful chords progressions/ open triads/ really just being multilingual chord speaking alot of beautiful chords out there to attach onto playing

●Jam along to any song right away

And then when the fist 5 frets are mastered the next 5 frets can be also taught and the next after that

Just a small idea it might not make alot if sense but it would be great to learn👍

Nevertheless all the best to you Daniel Jesus Loves you and promises you Eternal security found by presenting the faith to the potter
I love you and thank you.
God Bless you

Very good vid

I'm literally 2 minutes into this video and I'm subscribing. You sir have a way of teaching in which makes it understandable without dumbing it down! #Respect

I had to come back and thank you. I can’t think of anything that has improved my playing so much so quickly. The brevity, simplicity and applicability make these lessons so powerful. I had learned scales, modes and triads but all I could do is sound like I was practicing or noodling. After two of your videos, in particular the three note chords and diagonal pentatonic, I can see the CAGED shapes and how chords and scales link together. I’ve been playing over backing tracks in new ways. Now, I’m no master and I have a long way to go but you’ve really helped me break through a frustrating plateau.

I think this video just unlocked triads for me .... thank you

Excellent video! Well organized, well explained! Gave me a real leap in understnding. Thanks.

Daniel your a brilliant YouTube guitar teacher

The song Clean Up Woman uses the triads for it's main hook.  Then has two more rhythm guitar parts that synch up in a very similar manner that you teach here.

Thanks so much!
Excellent lesson. This puts it all together.
