I just bought one, exactly the same trim, and even plastidipped black (it was red too) hahah exactly the same condition, but with v&h exhaust and cobra foot boards for $250

rule number one never use a dealer for a trade in or to buy or sale your motorcycle and never use their financing ever.

I bought a 2005 shadow aero 750 with 8000 miles for $2600 in Tennessee.

I guess I did real good....the bike I purchased today is a 2003 shadow almost zero rust...with tires that only had 800 miles on them no cracks and nice. Payed 1200 this video really really helped thanx

That looks like it used to be a red and chrome bike that was totally destroyed with flat black paint. It has a lot of rust and corrosion. What's UP with the front fender? It's not a dirt bike. Absolutely amazing it has the stock exhaust on it. I always liked the big huge 2 into 1 stock pipes on the early Shadow 750 ACE. Depending on its mechanical condition, I could build a nice rat bike out of that. It already has a good start on one.

Would be a great bobber project!!

A big thing you missed is that the handel bars are aftermarket (not stock OEM)....to me that is a big red flag....usually means someone crashed it, or a non-motorcycle mechanic swapped the bars and did not re-tighten everything to spec.

Its prolly worth 1500 but in todays market it'll be listed for $2500

lol since everyone else is doing it. I just bought a 2001 Honda Shadow Spirit (VT750DC1) with unknown miles (but the original owner was a rich kid that daily drove it), non-running and sat in Central Florida weather for about a year. Light surface rust here or there and needs a new battery, carb rebuilt, forks rebuilt (shot dust shields/wiper seals) but it will most likely fire right up once I get a battery and clean gas in it even without the carb rebuild. Paid $250 to my brother-in-law and he paid $1,250 before he let it sit.

he is out to make himself and the dealer money at your loss.

Well I happen to agree with him. Those bikes sale around here from 1500 up to about 2500

Thank you,Sir....very helpful.

Seemed like a fair assessment

Pro-tip - Clean the freaking bike, straighten up things, before you take it in.  Good video, appreciate the info. This bike shows the owner didn't give a rip about it or what he might get in trade-in.

I would bet that little bike has sat outside in the weather for a lot of its life. Guarantee ya it’s still dependable af though.

Clutch lever ball end is broken off. This bike was dropped or layed down in an accident. Rear hub damage, fluid leaks, odometer not working. The bike is a can of worms. I would pass on it.

Liked & subscribed , great video

I have a 02 750 ACE that shames that bike. Only have 4k original miles on mine. V&H pipes . Can be yours for $2,500 !

This is a shame. Why would you want to get rid of that bike? I guess if you have to? You have to. That's a very nice bike😊

Funny, you'd pass on the bike because of the tires, not because of the pitting, rust, and jacked up rear wheel.  Doesn't sound legit.
