"It can be a negative thing when your desire to protect trumps your desire to respect." As the only girl in a family of 5 boys with protective parents, I really feel this.

The actor who plays Nate is surprisingly personable. Really enjoyed his hot ones interview. Considering how normal and nice he is, his portrayal of this absolutely predatory broken boy is impressive.

The way I see it, Nate's obsession with those traits on women could come from his denial of his sexuality. Traumatized by his father at a young age, he probably wants to deny any attraction to traits that aren't “feminine”

I would LOVE for you to react to Gia (Rues sister), because she's an amazing character, that has to go through a lot of trauma and issues because her older sister gets most of the attention because of her mental illness and drug abuse. So I'd like to see you therapize her!

When I saw this show for the first time, Rue listed his "likes and dislikes" and it immediately gave me Christian-Bale-American-Psycho vibes.

Make no mistake, Nate hates himself. I think a lot of what drives him is self loathing covered with fake arrogance.

"he's so hot and he's so miserable." LMAO

I married a much more clever Nate. He knew what to say, where and how to push to get what he wants. He broke me down to the point, when I thought it was normal and okay when he whispered in my ear, 45 minutes after I gave birth to our daughter; “you’re going to lose the weight, right?” After 10 years of the psychological pain, I walked away with nothing except my daughter. I’ll never be the same again. There are parts of me that are so broken, still after 12 years of divorce. I never looked back when he told me, 2 years into our separation, that he liked me because I physically fulfilled what he thought was perfect, but he said that he thought he could change me because he didn’t like anything about who I was.

Just wanna point out that Nate being aware of guys in the world wanting to hurt and harass Maddy is literally projection because he's done both of those things to do many women in this show. He knows what bad guys are capable of because he is one!

We all love to hate Nate Jacobs. One point that angered me about Season 2 was how Cassie was shamed for sleeping with her friend's ex, yet nobody brought up that Nate was also sleeping with HIS friend's ex. Oh, the double standards!

In my opinion, Nate is the typical ‘jerk jock’ done right (or at least done better than ones in other teen drama shows). They take the time to develop and flesh out his character in a way that makes him human, but not overtly sympathetic.

I would love for you to break down the character of Cassie. Many people think that her character is cliché and boring. But when you look into it with a psychology point of view, there is so much depth to her character! Please do Cassie

Nailed it !! Jacob keeps on saying in interviews that Nate doesn't love himself. Also Nate abuses Maddy physically and mentally so yeah u r right, Nate only wanted to possess her. There is no love.

@goldenoreo6699 4 years ago

Break down Cassie! She is the queen of Euphoria and seeing her go from a sympathetic character in season 1 and being a victim of circumstances to where she uses her victimization to justify her actions is season 2 is a sight to behold!!

"he's so hot and so miserable", the PERFECT definition.

1:16 my exact reaction 😂 literally my favorite scene 🔥

Nate found his father's TAPES with guys/transwoman at 9 years old and he hyperfocused on being nothing like him, even though he has the same sexual incline, his dad is a Dom by the way, Nate wants to have all the power, sorry i haven't watched all the video, but needed you to know this information to make a reaction to Cal too, and the inherited traits, even though Cal is a real nice guy with anyone who's not in his family

I would love it if you reacted to Rue, her backstory and family dynamic - she is SO fascinating to me, and the psychology behind addiction in general!
