I’ll never forget when I had an interview for Dollar Tree . The hiring manger told me that if I see someone stealing , try to get the merchandise back or they’ll cut your hours . 😳I am not a security guard . Hire one .

“I was wearing a sundress, and you don’t usually wear panties with those”
HUH?! I’ve never heard of that in my entire life. Cooter just out and about??

Pet store retail, people just gotta buy that hamster right now at 8:59pm

You literally could not have tortured that sundress story out of me 🤦🏾‍♀️ whatever happened to taking things to the grave?!? 😩😂🤣

“Lack of planning on your part does not necessarily constitute an emergency on mine”
is a good mantra to remember as a retail employee. Thank you Busiswa. Great video!

Retail and fast food is not for the weak.

I've barely started the poo in walmart story but it's funny that she was so embarrassed and horrified and never wanted to go to that walmart again but instantly turned around and told the story to the whole world. You could not pay me to repeat that story to one person let alone the whole internet. 😭

Try explaining to someone that you don’t have a product in stock, and the product won’t magically manifest inside the stock room because it’s your birthday or if you ask for the manager. I just don’t have the product right now. Ppl take it PERSONALLY. Idk why.

This isn’t just in retail! I’m a nurse at a hospital and I walk into my patients room and I said “good morning (name) I’m going to be your nurse today and I need to do a blood test as requested by your dr”, I didn’t look at his wife bc I didn’t need to speak to her, the man was my patient, but I did say good morning to her as I walked in. As I was setting up she proceeded to make silly remarks like “look at me I’m prettier” “would I make a hot nurse?” “Let me just have my boobs out a bit” “I’m gonna buy a raunchy nurse outfit for you when we go home” and I was just so taken aback!! Ma’am I’m here to help your husband not be with him 😭😂

12:16 I feel that. My first job ever was at a McDonalds when I was 18. I was the "Fry Girl". I got in trouble when a manager discovered that I put aged fries that were sitting under the heating lamp for a long time in the food waste bin. She yelled at me and told me not to put old fries in the food waste, I was told to keep them, and when a new customer came in, mix in old fries with new fresh fries. I hated it but I complied. Literally, the first customer who I tried this with (about 15 minutes later) was in the drive-thru but came back 2 minutes later into the lobby, yelling and angry. The manager was at the front register and you know what she did? She looked at me with a feigned flabbergasted expression and called, "FRY GIRL, GET OVER HERE!! EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!!" I was in so much shock that I don't even remember how I responded. I just remember my mouth dropping at the audacity.

The same manager later yelled at me for adding 2 ketchup packets and 2 salts to every customer's bag in case their food needed more seasoning. And using a bleach-water solution for cleaning the lobby because the floors, tables, and seats were sticky instead of just wiping with a napkin. Anything that felt right to do was frowned upon. Never working fast food ever again.
😭

"You don't usually wear panties with a sundress" GIRL WHAT??

That lady who was in the sundress and pooped in the Walmart. This story should be on the Only at Walmart YouTube page. Poor lady, why would anyone go outside without underwear in a sundress? Have you never heard of something called the wind. I could never leave the house like that. smh

“I was under the impression that every adult was peaceful.. Every adult could think logically & not emotionally” as someone who does customer service for a pharmacy & interacts mostly with people 50+ & gets cursed out as early as 9am daily….. I can tell you we had the wrong impressions.

Working in retail is why I don’t think voting should be a right.

Sometimes I miss working retail because it was like my own little sitcom. The customers were crazy, the drama was entertaining, most of my coworkers were chill for the most part so we could keke together about everything

Every retail job I've ever had is SO dramatic. I'm a people person but I have been verbally harassed and accused of this that and the other multiple times, especially having been in management. I have seen horror shows in the public bathrooms. Coworkers sneaking off together to the freezers. People getting fired before holidays. Girl, even my store manager got accused of watching her alcoholic ex-husband die and retired QUICK after she got the settlement. Now I'm at stay at home mom trying to make sure I raise humans who don't act like some of these folks out here.

I swear when couples come to the register they're either the insecure type, the super touchy PDA type, or the type where one whispers and one orders

The best manager I had when working retail was 19-years-old. He was so sweet and so responsible. He went above and beyond for everybody. I know he dealt with so much bull and so many complaints. That was 17 years ago... I wonder how he's doing...

The worst is near holidays. The day before thanksgiving, Christmas Eve. These people couldn’t care LESS when the store closes or that none of us have slept since Nov 1st. Soooooooo disgusting 🤮
