Do you think eidolon hunting is fun?

Night in 1 hour. Went to do something else, go open some relics, went to check plains, Night in 1 hour.

They should make it so that you can bomb Eidolons with railjack lol.

Genuinely, the worst part is the time gating. All the problems with the fight could be solved by giving us a bounty available at all times that gives players all the time they need.

The biggest thing that puts me off from Eidolon Hunts is the time gate. It seems that I have been born under an adversarial star, as they conspire and perfectly align, so that every time I am available to play, it is NEVER night on Cetus.

I did my first Eidolon hunt blind with no guide, I don't think I've done something this unintuitive in a game since the end half of Takeshi's Challenge.

You know, I can't believe the SIX giant yellow circles on the lures does not light up in pairs to indicate how many charges it is holding. That must surely be an oversight.

My biggest problem with Eidolon hunting is how unintuitive it is. Guarantee you take a new player, drop them onto the plains, tell them to capture an Eidolon without any further information and they won't know:
1. The Eidolons only spawn during night and will despawn at daybreak.
2. You HAVE to use Operator damage initially. Why, who cares!
3. Those random ass lures spread throughout the map? Go destroy them, except they aren't destroyed, but if you go into melee, maybe you can hack it to make it follow you.
4. Now that you have a lure, you see those mini sentinels roaming around? Take the lure next to them after you kill them, but not kill their void forms with operator damage.
5. Lure charged, you think you're ready? Nope, go get another or more depending on which stage you're at.
6. After you break the Eidolon shield, are you still wondering why you aren't dealing damage? You have to shoot the weak points, obviously! Whenever you're hitting an enemy, but not dealing damage you have to hit the weak points to actually deal damage! Except when they're covered by the Eidolon shield, obviously.
7. Now that you've captured your first Eidolon, what's next? Hope you somehow know to take the shard that you just gained and take it over to the lake to place it on the altar to spawn the next Eidolon.
8. Repeat steps 2-7.

Have a way to always be able to hunt eidolons and buff the rewards, and boom, we are so back

considering the lore behind them, Eidolons could be the entry point for Sentient Liches.

Eidolon died when I glitch out 10% of the time and can't get into operator mode.

Thank you. I’ve always been confused as to why eidolon hunting seemed like dead content but didn’t understand what the problem was.

I think a big part of why a lot of people stopped eidolon hunting is the impression much of the community had of dedicated hunters. eidolon hunting became known for having a lot of toxic player who would leave missions or curse out other players for not "optimally" doing the hunt. i know i still hold bad memories from back in the day and avoid hunting eidolons whenever possible,  and especially nowadays where arcanes are so much easier to grind for I'd rather just roll the table with loid than waste my time hunting for 5 or 6x3s

Reason I stopped doing Eidolon hunts was because of the meta to do them efficiently. Everyone wanted to do 7 trios in one night and demanded the perfectly optimized builds for each Warframe, and expected everyone to play perfectly. As someone who loves this game, it reminds me too much of either PvP games or speedruns, which I don't find fun in Warframe.

Of course, that was back then. Despite the arcanes being easier to acquire, hunting Eidolons also got easier due to all the new ways to deal damage. Before I clicked on this video, I never thought about how much damage a single Neutralizer shot from Cyte-09 could do to Eidolon weak points.

you’re so right and when i saw the arcane energize in the isleweaver (event) shop my jaw DROPPED, it was one of the most precious objects in warframe and now basically anyone can get it and will have it
