Some people want to meet rock stars, movie stars or Presidents.  I want to meet Dr. Gates.  He's my star.

Dr Gates is A GIFT to all beings on this planet ! what a teacher and compassionate human being - feel blessed to be alive at the same time !

He is one of the few famous people I would like to meet.

We’re collectively all the better for the many contributions of Dr. Gates.

I love Henry Louis Gates Jr.   I wish he would do a talk show and ordinary people can come and see him.  There are so many people who would like to find their roots.

This man is a wealth of knowledge. 🥰

I attended a conference in Baltimore in order to see Dr. Gates speak. Finding Your Roots is one of the few programs we watch. Brilliant man.

Wow! There were several things Dr. Gates mentioned that I didn’t know. As a white American, growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, black history never made it into my Social Studies classes. The fabulous book, “The Warmth of Other Suns,” was my first engagement with black history. Now with the aggressive repression of the Trump administration, a new crop of Social Studies classes will leave out these very necessary lessons.

Us Italians were in Harlem as well around same time. 🇮🇹✌🏼🇺🇸 Salute to Henry Louis been a huge over the years.
