OMG OMG George WHOA i have MISSED YOU BRO!!! YOU & your BRO are My Very MOST Fav Luvd Reactors to My Beloved Other Worldly Magical Genius Led Zeppelin OMG WoW what a Fantastical Journey THAT was! I am SO Happy Delighted to see YOU back & watching one of my ALL time most LUVD Movies at that freakin KickAss man YAY Weeeeeeeeeeee Ha PixieHugz&Luvz <3 Ha K going in to watch your reaction now <3 Seeing ya back truly made my Day! <3

Jenny loved Forrest all along, but she had been physically and s*xually abused by her father for years.  This was more clear in the book but only hinted at in the film, because the film was from Forrest's point of view and he didn't really understand.  In those days, r*pe was always viewed as the fault of the victim who must have done something to cause the man to lose control.  There was no understanding of PTSD and no survivor or support groups.  Jenny, like many survivors of trauma, turned to drugs and promiscuity to try to deal with her pain.  She thought she did not deserve Forrest and did not want to hurt him, so she ran from him until she was finally able to deal with the guilt and shame she had been carrying.

She couldn't let Forrest know about his son any earlier.  Forrest was running across the country with no set course.  This was long before cell phones or GPS and she literally had no way to contact him until she read in the newspaper that he was back home and then wrote him a letter (no email either).

I am very glad to see you again, hope you and Patrick are well and we will see more reactions from you.

Welcome Back!

Now ya need to watch "The Green Mile" if ya have not seen it <3 So many people misunderstand "Jenny" she was extremely traumatized by the abuse of her father & it messed her up big time & she did not want to bring sweet pure Forest down & also felt that she did not deserve real true Love OH & the reason she did not tell him about his son for those 3 yrs was cuz back then there was no way for her to contact him especially since he was running across the country anyway yea i like how the story is told cuz man life is definitely like that some people come in & out of your life at different times & circumstances change when Jenny got clean she was then ready to be Loved unfortunately tho she had gotten sick by then <3
