I honestly love how even though this is the timeline with the most importance to understanding the characters, it's one that ends up being the most flawed and corrupted. And I daresay it's solely because Liu Kang dies, which makes MK1 far more important in the grand scheme because if Liu Kang lives, then there's a chance for Armageddon to never occur.
How on earth did we go from Shawn Ed and Tony making a fantastic story driven game vs the slop we have now with MK1.
As another side note This game with Quantity over Quality is still light years better than the slop we got with MK 11 and MK1. More so mk 1. That game shipped with just story and online vs WITH NO LOBBIES OR KING OF THE HILL LIKE MK9.
As a 3rd side note - Total MK mentioned in a video a long time ago the Real OGs got pushed out when the WB merger and made sure to clean house of all midway , it makes sense with MKX but you see how different MK 11 and MK1 is they managed to exile all former midway employees.
