Turn the page is on another level than these other channels that pump out content non-stop.
I like listening at work but the visual content is actually good too. The struggle.

Unstoppable scrolling force vs unskippable thumbnail. 🙏

A lot of people love Doflamingo, but Crocodile has always been my favorite bad guy.

i hadnt considered the thematic significance of sand as debris, as an absence, but this makes luffy using his own blood to punch him even better. luffy used his very life in a way it couldn't be taken away. luffy is joy and determination and grit and stubbornness, all things that crocodile, as a monument to their absence, couldn't take into account as being that powerful for anyone.... oooh alabasta arc you will always be in my minddddd

You have a really awesome way of showing the beauty and poetry of this  series, and then gracing us with your own. "Cynicism isn't wisdom. It is grief wearing armor" is such  a BANGER line... and the feeling the rain imagery 😭 favorite channel for a reason!

Thumbnail fryin me so bad I ain’t even finish the video it’s your best one yet

In every desert there is an oasis...

I've always believed Crocodile sided with Luffy and the Whitebeard pirates  for the same reason Shiki tried to free Roger, not bc of sympathy but bc they wanted to be the ones to defeat Whitebeard/Roger, not the marines. They took as an offense that the marines were taking away what was supposed to be their triumph in battle

Man you are just surgical with these analyses! I thought I knew these characters but you give me chills every time with what I learn from your takes

“Cynicism is not wisdom, it’s grief wearing armor “ . Congratulations you have touch the edge of the world. The secrets of humanity are buried can be unlocked by channeling grief and gratitude.

You're doing great man, your channel is going to be a beautiful lingering pillar for years after the series ends

Loved watching videos on all 3 of the heads of Cross Guild

So my take on Ivankovs secret; Maybe after WB got him Corc joined the rev for a time maybe even helped save people, probably he even has a faimily. Imo that is a way worse secret to get out about u rather than he was chick ones-

I read the thumbnail as "trains?" And was very curious about the connection between Crocodile and trains

7:24 I think the thing that makes the Baroque Works code names a big flag for his own dysfunction (and the reason why the hilarious Mr. Prince trick worked) is because Crocodile made that anonymity work both ways. Sanji could disguise himself as Mr. 3, because Crocodile did not allow himself to become familiar with Mr. 3, who is a very distinctive and memorable type of weirdo.

A real chessmaster character would enjoy having an extreme imbalance of information, knowing everything about his pawns while his pawns know nothing about him, so it very strange to purposefully obscure information of his own agents from himself.

I swear we are going to actually get the reveal and it’s going to be something so unbeleivably mild. Like crocodile used to be short or something. Nothing to do with gender swapping just short king croc doesn’t want it getting out he was short and Iva gave him growth hormones.

As TB Skyen said: In the Desert, Water is Hope. And while Crocodile had just shifted his ambitions, he had given up hope on achieving his original dream. But then came Luffy. Who refused to stay down and faced him thrice until Crocodile was defeated. After that very same person freed him and he then saw that Whitebeard was not that insurmountable anymore? Who knows. Maybe that little trickle of Water, of Hope, had finally turned into a river. At least for that moment. So Crocodile did the one thing he could in the moment: Protect the source of that Hope. He would then found Cross Guild post-timeskip and hide behind buggy, seemingly content with not pursuing his original dream. Until, possibly. Buggy's speech.

So in short, Crocodile saved Luffy at Marineford because he doesn't want to see hope die again. Not because he suddenly believes in hope again, but because he doesn't want someone else's hope to die like his did.

I'd do anything for a Crocodile backstory light novel like Law's or Ace's that explains his relation to Ivankov. My read on the Ivankov - Crocodile dynamic is that the real secret isn't just that Crocodile was a woman but the reason behind Crocodile's decision to transition. I've read many takes that Crocodile is embarrassed ab being a woman and thats all Ivankov has on him but imo its too simplistic, too surface lvl of a reason for Crocodile to fear the possibility of others knowing

Ivankov knows the exact reason why Crocodile wanted the transition. maybe a dark past Crocodile doesnt want anyone knowing ab (i see a scenario where Ivankov meets Crocodile pretransition during a revolutionary takeover of a country, Crocodile being a victim of some kind and pleading for a chance to start a new life, leaving his entire past behind). the only person knowing this past being Ivankov would explain why he was confident that Crocodile wouldn't cross them

I think there's another depth about Crocodile's grief.
In Marineford, he actually says that he'd rather see whitebeard's crew win (and afterwards Luffy survive) than to see the marines smile. That comes from a man who has been crushed by whitebeard and then defeated by Luffy.
I think the marines hurt him way more than the two others (I don't know how though, but if the theory about his transition is true I think there's a possibility that he was r*ped by a marine at one point).
