EDIT: As of August 31, 2025, Notwayq has achieved a 177 with a new strategy that gives you a major speed boost for part of the game, Gen strat. I'll probably have to make a followup video to this. You can find the game here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2554763125?filter=highlights&sort=time

As of April 8, 2025, Daruma has achieved a 166, nearly maxing out the record and probably pushing it out of reach for a while. Congrats to him! https://x.com/dxruma/status/1910082104341245954

Thanks for watching everyone! Check out all the players and games in this video here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MjFrS3vtkeCFKoJKQAQt99SXSW4YhH37vYMrqZySbcY/edit?usp=sharing

What world record history or other zombies video do you want to see next?

Small fact correction from the video: Dahniska was actually not the first to do Church Camping Strat as mentioned at 48:11, Phoris had actually found it 2 years earlier as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QNXQIGcaPM
However, Dahniska was the one that popularized it for WR attempts and speedruns in 2015

You know it gets serious when the anime skins show up

From someone who absolutely loved bo2 zombies, all the Easter eggs, going for high rounds, I gotta say that this kind of ridiculously thorough documentary is so refreshing and entertaining. You put so much work into this video and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you.

massive W, the montage and explaination are clear and perfect, best WR history video so far and im not saying that cause im part of it, thanks for the shoutout wunder and i had a lot of fun yapping about origins to you in discord lol. will watch this one again for sure!

I loved this map. Made it to like 70 once. My Xbox froze.

1:21 HE SAID THE LINE!!!!!!

Actually such a good video, holy. 100% worth watching, The research, explanation, editing (of course), and overall execution were all amazing. Super good job Wunder!

Great video. This is what has been missing in recent games. The sheer complicated nature of how zombie health scales, perks and drops and other things that can be calculated to precision measurements to speed up the game before reaching the max time. The old game's were quirky and imperfect, which made them great!

Another amazingly well researched and edited history video! This was worth the wait for sure. Not very often I get to learn so much about such a classic map.

Cannot understand for the life of me why anyone would choose to dedicate so much time to speedrun a game where bugs/crashes/freezes are how you lose 20+ hour runs lmao

But I salute them, this was an awesome video to watch

Zombies summining salt. Can’t thank you enough for the hours of sleep I’ve gotten

Finally origins world record

“When he dug a max first try on 103, he knew he had a game”

The FACT it took until 103 to know if he had a chance after 103 rounds is insane to me. Speedrunners truly…are built different.

I used to chill with Tidy in twitch chats and played with him and some others a few times. Back in 2015-16. Strange guy. He never talked even when playing together but would chat on some random small streamers chat all the time. At that time he was grinding NML a ton

You are preserving history with videos like these. Someone has to do it and you do an amazing job. Thanks for the hard work

Thank you for this WONDERFUL video

I love the way the chronology of the speedruns being explained one after the other lets the viewer learn and understand all the quirks of the max round organically

this is absolutely Incredible.. time to get my snacks and my ass on the chair and watch intently

Love your commentary and videos, keep it up 😎

Man I'm annoyed I waited so long to watch this. I was gonna watch it in the background but the amount of crazy shit happening kept bringing me right back. Great video Red.
