When I was teaching several years ago, I would keep all my utterly dry reclaim for the next year's start off.   First experience was to teach the basic (slab, coil, pinch) in tiny vessels.  To do this effectively, each student got a clump of dry clay, powdered it, hydrated it, and followed the process for the learning goal of the day.  When I learned to do this, it stopped the endless whine of "my clay is too dry.' and 'my clay is too wet.'  They knew what to do about that condition and as I typically had 145 students in class every day/cycle that meant the chant wasn't repeated at least 145 times every day.  After that students were issued fresh clay at each project inception.  They knew what to do to keep it useful.  They never failed to wrap it up tight.  :)   Also, if a student wanted more clay than the issued amount, the dry bin was available so they could work and get more.  This killed multiple birds with minimum stones.

Your level of "messy" is far cleaner then my level of tidy usually is 😭

We’ve seen pieces before, but it’s really fun to see the entire studio. Congrats on your big move!

I cant wait to see the new projects that personalize your new studio like the ones that you did for this one. Its so crazy seeing it all come down with all the little touches and projects that have collected over time. ❤❤❤

I'd recommend creating a sink trap system, so like a normal sink but rather thanit just going straight to the drain it goes into your trap buckets (same or similar system than you're using) and then either from there into a drain or from there into a large bucket and then before its full you can just unattach the bucket and empty out your clean water 😊

Also a clock would be a great early project in the new space; you could then use it in your videos for the timelapses if you liked it 😊

The curtains to dampen echoes are a great lesson learned. The new space is better with the new floor, and will be better with stuff in it, but you'll probably need something similar to cut the last of the echo.

LOVE everything in this video! Also totally here for the “failed” rolling pins - they look super cool! 🤩

Maybe you can gift the reclay you don't want to move for a school or kindergarden over Kleinanzeigen.

I love your Let Clay Dry sign! Laura Kampf inspired?

I hope you can make your new studio without trouble! I wish you speed and comfort moving and finishing everything!!

I think big mouth Billy Bass has conditioned us to feel like whole animals mounted on walls are more lifelike

IVAR is the best invention right after the wheel.

That was a fun tour! Such a clever use of space. Can’t wait to see how you organize the new studio!😊

Its the end of an era, but I'm very excited for all the adventures in the new studio!

Let the new era begin!!

first idea: sound canceling panels that matshes
your quilt pottery (cavas, paint on, foam, mdf) a nice picture (daylight) for the sealing. 2. the reclaim would  maybe a nice gift to a art project or work shop. 3. If you like to make nice light you need ad least 2 light sources, you put the light on the wall to light up the room. I watshed some yt videos for portrait picture. 4 your dirty water claim system should look like a big coffee filter, and the bucket like a cup, imo. 5. I love a magnet wall maybe you can use a big metall shead for your samples ad magnet to it, so they are aranagable every time. 6 the roling pins are probably wanted by crafter like me, so dont feel worry to sell them. I would love  to have them. 7. If you dont want take the buckets let somebody, maybe an art school, pick them up. 8. for the cloth and plastic backs you could crochet like a dog poop bag disspence. like a sleeve you pull out one peace and stuff it again in from above. 9. The linses are easy tonsell, and they are werth real money...so try sell them for sure.
I am cours how the new studio will come together.

I'm gonna miss this studio but I know the other space is just going to be extra beautiful! I have no studio organization ideas, I'm a mess in my own space and can't figure it out 😂

Those rolling pins would be perfect on my gelli plate! 😍 xxx

Looking forward to seeing your new studio.

Thanks for the tour! I look forward to the new adventures you have in your new studio!
