The amount of shout outs and inspiration this film got from Perfect Blue.

Spooky may not be pregnant, but he always delivers 🙏

"Shut up Meg!"   🤣

I just finished an analysis video that completely changed my perspective of the plot. Long story short, her MOM is actually the black swan, and Nina’s decent into madness and hallucinations is due to abuse from her mom, including being SA’d by her from an early age! There’s lots of little hints, and it makes it MUCH more disturbing.

These psychological ‘decent into madness’ horror films are my absolute favorites. Strange, because like you said, I have struggled with the need to be perceived as being perfect and accepted especially in work environments my whole adult life. Anyways, the visuals and emotions displayed in Swan are top notch! Great video yet again ❤

Anyone who says that Nina or Lily are villains are completely full of crap. It’s the Director and Nina’s mother who screwed with her head and if they have no haters, I’m dead.

Turns out...its just a genjutsu
I died 😂😂😂😂

I've seen this! This is like Perfect Blue meets Princess Tutu!

And also...I don't like sand.

It's so rough and course. And gets in everywhere.

Anyway, we get it, Spooky, we’ve all been there. I’m on the spectrum and always try to get along with other people. Including my friends. I actually have a fall out with a college friend of mine who was expecting too much yet it wasn’t enough.

But I’m better off without her.

The point is, you do what is best for you, SpookyRice. I always love your insight in the horror genre. Stay golden, ok?

Watching pre-MCU films is so fun now cuz I'm like "Hey Thor's girlfriend! Cap's bestie! That guy!"

You have to watch The Substance with Demi Moore.

I love it when you talk about personal stuff in your videos. Makes these movies more human! ❤

Don't torture yourself over your videos, Spooky. Your videos are awesome and you're one of the best reviewers in YT. Those of us subscribed to you are always excited to see that you've posted a new video. ✨✨✨

Ahhhh yes american perfect blue

The pervert on the train at 7:45 is the "ASS TO ASS" guy from Requiem For A Dream

I hear you. Perfectionism is the true nightmare fuel of both this movie & real life

The way you speak about stories is so unique in the best way. I feel like im having a discussion with a friend. And your vulnerability at the end of the video is brave and appreciated ❤

I don’t know if you covered this one but Whiplash is another great example of perfectionism/obsession within the arts

Great vid as usual!
About your end monologue, some people(friends) are not meant to be in ones life forever. It's sad, but also healthy to cut ties with some of them.

Bro. It's in our nature to want to help others and offer our energy to people but I cannot stress how much your words resounded the same in me! It's a struggle to lay down boundaries, much less stick with them -- I see you and your progress and efforts 💚

That "Not all of us have to" line was such a good comeback.  It would have been perfect to add the OHHHH! clip from Supa Hot Fire.
