I can’t believe he got Keanu Reeves to play bbno$

yes

0:30 I was like “is that bbno$” and then I checked the channel collab and I was like “WHAT”

Bbno$ genuinely pulling off that cosplay. Thought bro was just the game model imposed into the video and made to do dances in the background.

I think Mrs. Peralez WAS brainwashed when we talked to her in that restaurant, mainly because the entire scene is COATED in blue. We already know they intentionally made the Matrix reference with the blue team, and remembering the roses as blue when they were very clearly red. If blue represents lies, the wall was blue, the far background lighting was blue, and her entire outfit was BLUE.

16:41 The creepiest part of that second mission for me was when I was looking through the security cameras in their house and I saw someone crouching down with their face all blurred, yet when I ran around the house, I couldn’t find that person! It genuinely gave me chills… until I realised that was my V… crouching at the computer I was interacting with to look at the cameras.

with all the cyberpunk lore videos I've seen, NONE have mentioned the invisible flying vehicle above the gang hideout! I have played this game through 5 separate times and I've never seen that before

bbno$ as johnny silverhands is not the casting I expected but the casting I needed

I think a really informative piece of info that gets somewhat ignored when people talk about this quest is that V’s involvement causing a security breach has Project Cordin SUSPENDED. We can’t actually tell for absolutely sure whether the memory replacement is still going on, because the last bit of real info we can find is that they put the project on temporary hold. Whether they took it back up after some time or completely abandoned it, what is sure is that in order for such a thing to occur, the security team needed to be on site with a direct signal connection to their tech on the van. It’s not just a switch they can flick to turn it on or off, they either have an integrated system where the subjects live or they don’t.

Personally with the tech as shown in the present, the chances of this continuing without the Peralez’s buying into another lump of bullshit like the security team are pretty low. While that can’t at all be guaranteed, you can somewhat infer what the best choice is and what it means when looking at the end credits.

Both times Jefferson clearly remembers V and trusts him, but the truth changes his behavior drastically. If this secret society really has this much power over him after that much passed time, it really doesn’t show. Take the outcome where he’s super paranoid for instance. Why allow him to become mayor if he’s now too unstable to follow your whims? Why not just remove the memory of learning this truth if it can disrupt what you want? Either way, if the power this society had was really as much as they want us to think, then there would realistically be no difference between these two endings. They would probably make them forget V entirely. While we’ll never know for sure their actual constant influence in these endings, you have to give props to CD Project Red for making such a good quest with so many good questions and very little good answers.

Blue eyes watching from a distance during the final conversation with Jefferson is so unsettling

one thing you missed is that there ARE emails between their daughter and elizabeth where she wants to come home but elizabeth says it’s safer for her to be abroad during election time. doesn’t entirely dismiss the idea that the daughter could be fake but just something to add.

one thing I'd like to add on top of all of that is that if you do decide to tell him about it all, elizabeth will contact you one last time to tell you to never contact them ever again, which I feel like it is probably "them" trying to get you as far away as possible from the case

I literally just played this quest. One thing that was interesting: a bowl of fruits on the dining table in the Peralez apartment. You scan it and V lists a bunch of detected chemicals. Liz says its to improve their cognitive function and that it's delivered everyday "as part of their rental of the apartment". Scanning shows that the fruits contains elevated levels of Acetylcholine (A neurotransmitter that plays a role in memory, learning, attention, arousal and involuntary muscle movement) and GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid and works by preventing the transmission of certain signals to help with feelings of stress, anxiety, and fear).

What I find really interesting: If you tell Jefferson that he is being brainwashed while having the Militech Canto Cyberdeck equipped, a Cyberdeck with a literal AI from Cyberhell on it, it will say after finishing the quest: "Curious. Your version of reality - perhaps you can influence it."
This implies that the AI thinks that the "scripted" path was telling Jefferson that Holt was behind everything and by you telling him he is being brainwashed you went against the design.
It also implies that everyone trying to convince you of choosing this "scripted" path might be in on it or has been manipulated to sway you.

My cyber is punking so hard right now

When playing this mission, I had one phrase playing in the back of my head the entire time, “power doesn’t panic.” And after like 20 minutes of running all the details through my head, it all finally hit me. All powerful entities don’t TRY to appear all powerful like this group does in the game, if they really were as strong as they make themselves out to be, they would have just turned your brain off the moment you got a single shred of information on them. Instead the moment there was a security breach the whole operation flies into a frenzy, and as a last ditch effort they try to threaten you into silence, because they don’t actually have the power they appear to, and they’re panicking. So I decided that, even if it ruins this man’s life, it just might save the city from further corruption and manipulation, and so I chose to sacrifice the man to hopefully save his legacy, because I KNEW at the very least, that power doesn’t panic, and this all powerful shadow organisation was panicking hard about little old me.

Honestly the thing that sealed it for me that this wasn’t going up as far as it seemed to was that you could figure all this out. You were enough of a spanner in the works they felt the need to try and intimidate and threaten you into silence. Power, real power, doesn’t do that. It acts, it implies, it sends you off with a cheerful “you don’t have the authorization to know that.” It isn’t scared. If these people felt the need to threaten you, it means you have the means to threaten them. You don’t threaten a mouse in your home, you set a trap for it and dispose of it. You threaten something that is dangerous enough to not be worth the gamble. As the ending shows, they either couldn’t or didn’t erase the guy’s knowledge of the conspiracy, and likely he took measures to prevent them from having such easy access ever again. Whatever is going on there, they’re clearly not omnipotent enough to prevent one of their guys from getting shot, to prevent you from getting involved, to stop you from even being able to tell him the truth. That’s them flinching, and if they flinch, you can fight

the theory that mr blue eyes is being controlled by Blackwall ai's is actually terrifyingly and intriguing especially after playing phantom liberty i want more stuff to do with the blackwall ai's

24:13 Interesting side-note here too: Blue roses don't actually exist in nature. You can only get them by using dye, which could also be a clue that her memory of blue roses is fake
