Forest Shuffle: Uprising - Moor of the Same

I’ve played both. I want to say I like dartmoor way better. The problem with the original was the deer strategy, it’s way too overpowered, even if you add 2 expansions it still makes it hard to beat with the other strategies. So it forces Everyone to put deer in their forest to have a chance. And a game that forces everyone to go the same strategy isn’t a good game, or lose 99 percent of the time. And very frustrating.

Dartmoor fixes that problem, making the hooved strategy as good as the others.

And yes I’ve played forest shuffle a hundred times, actually way more than that.

Best part of Forest shuffle is finding new strategies so for me its really cool I can explore this game once more

I've never played Forest Shuffle. I'm attracted to this version of the game because I'm British and I'm hoping that the species in this game will be the ones found on Dartmoor in England.

The orignal Foreat Shiffle also has the lines on the flip-side of the main board.

Dartmoor was my old stomping ground (with many great memories), so looking forward to playing this.

So Mila definitely spoke to me with this review as someone who completely missed the Forest Shuffle hype. this would be the one I would hope to try and one day but.

I own the first with both expansions.  One of the things that I like about this one is that it has only 6 tree types, which makes it easier to “combo”

I agree with the points that Zee and Camilla are making, but I think they miss one that for some players, like me, matters. Part of the pleasure of playing these nature themed games is the immersion in the environment, and since this version explores a different setting, it brings a different feeling and I enjoy that. I understand though that from a pure gaming point of view you don’t need both.

I see that this one doesnt include the "solo" mode of playing. Thats one thing that makes me keep playing the original one (yes, it was an expansion)

I’ve been playing Forest Shuffle with the woodlands and alpine expansions. Yesterday I bought Dartmoor and we played it.  It plays very smoothly. But we prefer the variety and colorfulness in the original  Forest Shuffle with expansions

I like both. Id recommend it instead of the base game, but if you have base game plus expansions you dont need it. Its great to play on BGA, though.

I'm curious, can you have more than one bird / insect on the top or bottom of the same tree?

Can you use the currently available expansions with this?

Thanks for the video

0:13 oh, no no no, I'm sorry, it's the moops

I am truly impressed by your review. I am a (classic+expansions) FF player and find your opinions (both) very well thought through. Thanks! (instant subscription)

Very interesting perspective 👌

I’ve played both. And honestly forest shuffle with expansions is this game. I truly don’t know why this exists but I know why it was made 💰. Both are good just pick your favorite theme bc they’re the same.

This is the best version in terms of gameplay: 1. Much more balanced strategies 2. Vertical species are no longer less efficient space-wise because of the swamps 3. Branching out to other strategies feels more natural because lots of cards are encouraging you to collect other sets 4. Start of game is less drawing till 10 for every player because you will have different hand size and likely there will already be cards in the clearing.
