Alex, as a Protestant I want to say thank you for an excellent debate and for your kind, respectful demeanor. I learned a lot about the Catholic argument against Sola Scriptura from your side of the debate and I appreciate you laying it out in such a clear, concise manner. I gained a ton of respect for you from this debate and look forward to seeing more of what you have to share in the future.

I was raised Protestant my whole life but now that I’m 29 and I’ve found a new relationship with Jesus that has brought me to the  Catholic Church!!

Funny how the Catholic used more scripture than the Protestant. 😅

I came straight here after watching part of your podcast episode with Matt Fradd. It’s clear how much you love the Catholic Church and its teachings. I can imagine you watching every debate Dr. White has participated in, thinking of different ways his arguments could be addressed. It all paid off, you did a great job. Congratulations!

Wow Ephesians 4 is amazing. Read the whole chapter. THAT is the summary of the entire Christian Faith. That is what Catholicism is.

As a Catholic, I learned a lot and realized that I have so much more to learn. Que Viva Cristo Rey!

Thats what happens after going to  confession ,,you have the holy spirit with you and Alex not only won but showed humility

Came here from the Matt Fradd video. Alex, you presented yourself as pure and full of the fire of the Holy Spirit. You are sincere and full of knowledge that us Catholics strive to attain. You made me so proud and affirmed my faith in the one true Catholic Church. Well done!

I'm a protestant, and I'm amazed how God humbled me watching this.

Voice of reason, I watched your videos for 1 month now.. I am a new christian, I just want to say I attended the Catholic church for the first time this Sunday. It was seriously the best experience of my life. I had a tough road before I opened my heart to christ. And attending the Catholic church gave me such a fulfilment I cant explain it in words.

Im just reaching out to tell you! You are doing god's work and really giving me insight to research more about these topics. Please continue to do what your are doing, and the way you carry yourself.

All glory to jesus christ!

I was raised Catholic , was baptized at 1  and did my first communion at 14  . But after I did the classes , I drifted off and focused on different things . I did go to Baptist churches before getting my communion and I was taught more there than my Catholic classes , and I absorbed little and little . But I remained a Catholic but not a practicing one . Didn’t pray , believed in intercession and such .i got into a relationship with my now wife , she was Baptist and doesn’t like the Catholic Church . We ended up drifting away from our faith . Partly due to us thinking “ we’re young , we have time “. 4 years later at the age of 18 she got pregnant. And we continued like normal . Being believers but not practicing. When she was about 3 months pregnant, I felt an urge , like a pulling sensation , and I was drawn to a Bible , so I bought one out of no where my then fiancée now my wife said “ that was random of you but ok “ after than I could not put it down , i wouldn’t call my self a Christian yet just a believer . I started from genesis , and saw parts of the trinity . Took me a month to finish genesis , and I did some research and started in the gospels . I read Matthew and was in awe of the person I thought was God . I learn so much , but studied Protestant explanations. It was good , but takes alot of Jesus metaphorically . And saw how Jesus didn’t exalt his mother like the church did . So I dwelt on that and thought , “ hmm why not just pray to Jesus and the father , no need for the extras “ . I slowed down on reading as my now wife was nearing child birth . One the day came it was traumatic on her side , and stressful on mine . She went on 25 hours of labor , and had to get an emergency c section . She felt the cuts and had to be drugged up just to deal . Our beautiful daughter was born and I said “ surely , there is a God , and it is you , thank you Jesus “ and I could confidently call myself a Christian. I didn’t go to church yet , and prayed often , studied often . Read all of the New Testament, but glanced over kind off the parts of how to govern the church . And authority was given by Christ . Due to me not thinking much of it from a Protestant view . I kept growing in my faith , and knew God , I came to church . A Baptist church , which my wife liked and so did I , my daughter was ecstatic . We were learning more and more and took communion . It didn’t feel right that we remembered the lord sacrifice with a tiny cup of grape juice and tiny peace of unleavened bread.
Stating to symbolized the sacrifice .
I thought it would be more venerated . But no , we took it , and moved on . The pastor even said once “ this is only for believers but if your not one it’s okay , we’re bending the rules just a bit “ I didn’t like that part . I kept going but over time I felt like I was just there to praise , God . One of the only forms of worship, and it’s not the most important way . The rest was a breakdown of scripture, and study if I must . And over time I felt like I wanted more of God . And decided to study Catholicism again and orthodox. I agreed with orthodox for a while but didn’t commit . Didn’t feel pulled enough . It’s beautiful but not unified enough . So I studied Catholicism with a new view on theology thanks to orthodoxy . And I found that catholic will just accept other baptism and if the orthodox will want communion they can take it , but not the other way around and I said “ hmm , Catholic seems very open to unification “ and I went deeper . And the Eucharist got me hung , I put it on the back burner for a bit and my wife and I got married . 2 weeks after getting married I was still on it and decided to just do it . I believe truly in the sacraments and the Catholic Church . My wife got heated but I carried on . She’s a bit calmer now but I pray that the Lord changes her heart and brings her closer to the fullness of truth . I took communion and have the everlasting God within me . I’m Glad to be back in communion with the Church and its Saints , may the pray for us . May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be upon you all ✝️

Alex you are a credit to the Catholic Church you made us all so proud well done 🙏🏻🙏🏻

As an Orthodox Christian, I am proud that Alex represented the Apostolic Church there. Great job ! Glory to Jesus Christ ! 🙏☦️✝️🙏

Man, this was such a treat. It was great to not only see you crush it on the debate stage, but to show such love and respect for Dr. White. It seemed your humility did a lot to win him over, even if the disagreements remained. Thank you for representing the Catholic faith so well, Alex!

Also, as others have already pointed out, that opening statement is probably the best I’ve heard in a debate ever.

Alex did an amazing job and was so charitable- something you don’t always see in debates. As a catholic convert from evangelical back ground, I was so proud to watch this and encouraged my faith greatly. God bless you brother!

I've never seen James White squirm and be rattled by his opponent as much as this! White was clearly thrown at times by Alex knowledge and even tried to catch him out eg. The 666 616 translation.

White was clearly impressed by Alex and met his match. Not just by his knowledge and arguments but by Alex extreme humility in praising White fir the good things he has done in defending basic Christianity.

Alex's humility was a true testimony to the genuineness of his faith and it was very evident many protestants left that debate with many new questions!!

I especially love the banter about the Olympic blasphemy, and Alex says' we should team up and go sort them out" that was Gold!!! 🫡😄

White was genuinely humbled and enjoyed the back and forth.

A superb debate by a champion for Catholicism!!

THIS ISN'T FAIR! Alex has 2,000 yrs of doctrinal knowledge & thoroughly defined biblical interpretation - all handed down by the apostles and the magisterium!!

It’s funny how they turned off the comments of this video in the Protestant channel after seeing all the comments saying Alex won the debate lol.

Fun fact: Voice of Reason was once considered for singing bass by his parish choir, unfortunately, he couldn't sing that high.
