My gosh! AK Richardson’s final rebuttal was absolutely INCOHERENT!
I couldn’t understand a single point he made, if Lazarus would have said no God would be mad??? What IN THE WORLD does that mean?!!!

With Mr. Richards clearly above average intellectual level and what seems to me to be a true regeneration of this Brother in Christ, him being unable to embrace Calvinism shows me that the truth of Calvinism is by a providential gift from God ever been as much as salvation and not merely a cognitive acquiescence.

Dr. White is always big on sticking to the verse that is the topic of debate. I think he changed his strategy here because he was caught up in the Libertarian free will questions

The scriptures just quoted by James are very clear in showing the ramifications of the fall. Which Christ came to die and free us from. Romans 8:2

Calvinism says God is ultimately sovereign in everything in one breath, and it’s theology says Gods decree won’t allow His will to do what he wants to?

Okay, so, if then Adam would NOT have disobeyed God and NOT taken from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, what would have God’s prior determinative of the Cross been relegated to?
Would it then have been just a nebulous, hovering and unfulfilled intention drifting upon the divine ether of eternity?

Must God's sovereignty over Adam's choice to sin be incompatible with his equal freedom to choose TO sin or NOT TO sin?

I remember dear Dr White having so much fun laughing about Kamala' word salads!  He is a pretty good salad chef himself when asked about God being patient with His own decrees in the first x exam.  All this about the distinguishment between time and eternity can't get him out of the obvious. God is being patient with people obeying His own decrees on this system of thought! No amount of word salads can cover up the obvious.

How can you have a debate w/o agreement on the terms?! Each has to keep qualifying their positions with their understanding of the words. Perhaps a debate centered on the understanding of the Greek words would make more sense.

If “Jacob I loved and Esau I hated” and Romans 9 is about individual election/salvation, then God “hates” and has “prepared for destruction” most of His own creation? 😢

We can come to Christ and live the Christian life without knowing anything about Calvinism. I know many Calvinists who live a life of obedience/faith thru the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word, and I also know many non-Calvinists who do the same, some who know nothing about Calvinism and others who do, but reject it.

In the Q&A, when Richardson asked White, before the fall did Adam have libertarian free will, James White answered wrongly when he answered, “yes.”
He should have answered, “no.”
And the reason is, in order for Man - or any created being - to have libertarian free will, it would mean that God would have had to disconnect  Himself from control of part of His universe. And God would never, and could never, do that.

Here's a comment from one of the other websites that reviewed this debate: If White is adamant that man does not have freewill, why does he spend so much time trying to change ours, as if we could, according to his 'theology'? Another way to put it, its like peeing against the wind!

Yeah, this spiraled out around the hour mark and didn't pick back up. A bit disappointed overall.
