Impossible to imagine the success of Depeche Mode during these last forty years ......

Have grown up Inthe 80s then hit my teens in 1989 music 10 times better than today

BEST MUSIC DECADE :face-red-heart-shape:

The long jacket thing Stuart Adamson wears is also worn by Corey Haim in The Lost Boys 😂

It’s incredible looking back at the Housemartins in 1986, knowing now the success that Norman Cook and Paul Heaton would achieve. No one could possibly have guessed Paul would still be having chart topping albums and selling out stadiums in 2026.

Excellent Compilation.

Eloise, what a tune and the singer, very
vampire like but in an entranced kind of wsy, good looking guy then as well. Btw, stan ridgeways camouflage,  what a great tune as well.

Loved public image,  delivering fabulous music since 1983.
Clever man singing with awesome lyrics. ❤❤❤

Thanks

Dave Vanian looked younger in 86 than he did in ‘76 🤷

86 was a beautifully weird period of my life.... Big Country or Schoolly D ? PSK !!!! What does it mean.... Lol ;)

Public image limited great tune but did John Lydon line “I could be right” get messed up by the stage crew😮 listen carefully!

This could be the year we gave up on the eighties and hid in the sixties.

Is this your personal selection or a non biased representation of who appeared at the time?
I ask cause over the years, there is definitely a cohort of bands who seemed to very prevalent on these videos. Echo bunny men, Paul Weller, Gary Numan and Depeche Mode for example.

Don Letts put a shift in in 86.
