Without question, the hammock was the absolute best. Outstanding.

I don't know if you read comments made on an old video, but you are my favorite furniture restorer.  Your talent is unmatched; your humor is spot on; and your commentary informative and fun.  Been a subscriber for a few months, and thoroughly enjoy every video, because you're a professional!  Hugs from the USA!

Jay, I do believe if you get tired of furniture restoration, your next profession should be stand up comedy! You had me rolling today!!

Regarding your self-deprecating comment: 'because I'm a professional', maybe you haven't started as a professional (furniture restoration is a professional after all), but at this point, you are one. You've a rather large YouTube channel, and a pro-level workshop (as far as I can tell). You've been doing it for a while now, and you definitely have a lot of experience. Your work looks great, I assume that you also sell some of the pieces you're working on (or work on a commission) - so yes - you are a professional, despite not formally studying the field.

Angie was my first furniture restorer, you're my second.  I follow both of you, and like each of your aesthetic, and your senses of humor, and of course your supervisory staff.

I think it’s so cool you and Angie talk to each other! You both have great channels!

I love that anything you don't know the name of becomes a THINGY. 😁

The bookcase is unique without being flashy or trendy.  It would fit in almost anyone's home perfectly.  Thanks for sharing a bit of your vacation and I am so glad to see Mondo back to good health.

Mondo isn't just hunting, he is bringing you gifts. He is a beautiful boy.

I love that you use ‘And Bobs your Uncle!’
But my Granny always said ‘Bob’s your Uncle and Fanny’s your aunt!’.

The hammock was brilliant . . . because you're a professional.  👍😂
The cord & eyelet dividers were a stroke of genius.  Unique.  Love this piece.

I was so glad you listened to Mondo when he told you to "Use the string, Dad. Use the string." I'm sure he even pointed out exactly where it should go. It looks fabulous... and is a great way to help books stay upright on a shelf without needing bookends. Thank you, Mondo, for your spot-on management skills. You are the best. ♥

Beautiful restoration and unique design.. love  the quiet elegance of the book case ❤

Going back in time to catch this one and it’s still amazing watching your progress on a piece. That you make a point of showing correcting a completely human and realistic “mistake” is what has always made you authentic.

Whenever I build my bookcase in the future, I am definitely incorporating this “corset” idea, even though I would be going for a rustic style.

There is a sitcom hiding in your videos.  You have a great sense of humor.  Love the bookshelf.  And the cord divider was a great and unique idea.

The hammock was hilarious! 😂

Incredible transformation work. A previously worthless piece is now a luxury piece of furniture. Pure art!!!

Amazing!! I propose a new name for this: the Symington Bookcase
(Symington being a corset manifacturing company established in Leicestershire in the 1850s, that over the decades became one of the top world producer of corsetry and other garments, up until the 1980s, and today their old factory is a museum).

An now I want one for my fabric stash, the cord dividers would be perfect for air circulation and the aesthetic is *chef's kiss*.

Practical furniture can look fabulous

I love your sense of humor , but the best part is how you describe “ thingy’s” exactly like me ! You got me thru a hard time when my mom passed away , your soft voice , just mellowed my heart, put me at ease ! Thank you 🙏🏼!
