The Day Michael Jordan EMBARRASSED Bill Laimbeer

Before the 1991 season, Michael Jordan had endured years of punishment at the hands of the Detroit Pistons. Every season ended the same way: bruises, heartbreak, and Bill Laimbeer enforcing the now famous defense built to stop Jordan. Laimbeer built his reputation on intimidation and roughplay. If Jordan drove the lane, Laimbeer made sure he paid for it.
But in Game 4 of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals. Chicago wasn’t just competing with Detroit anymore, they were dominating them. Jordan had absorbed every foul, every cheap shot, every brutal lesson the Pistons threw his way. And now, with the sweep in sight, he unleashed all of it back on the very man who tried to break him.

Bill is so full of shit. He keeps saying they got old when the Bulls swept them in 1991. When the Bulls won their last title in 1998 and MJ won his last title, MVP and Finals MVP, he was 35. Pippen was 33 and Rodman was 37. When the Pistons got swept in 1991, Isiah was 30, Dumars was 28, Rodman was 30 and Bill was 33.
The Bulls won because MJ's teammates finally developed into good players.

If Larry Bird called you a dirty player you are a dirty player

The pistons not shaking hands with the Bulls wasn't just poor sportsmanship, it was pure childishness. It showed that the Pistons weren't a tough team, they were just bullies. They had some extremely talented players, but ultimately had to resort to dirty tactics to win on the biggest stage. Once The Bulls got back at them and showcased how limited they really were, they did what all bullies do when confronted and made to look foolish, they took their ball and went home to go sulk. They weren't "bad boys", they were just boys. Silly little kids who finally got spanked in public, and they couldn't deal.

Lame-beer is like Thomas, MJ is living rent free in his head.

The Pistons didn't know they were grooming Jordan into the champion he became. As a Bulls fan I wanna say thanks ❤

Who wasn’t gonna beat Jordan with that strategy. They couldn’t stop him playing straight up basketball they were out there to do him bodily harm.

"We got old" excuse is HILARIOUS. MJ was 10 years older than they were when he won his last championship.

Those type of fouls today would get you kicked out of the game and suspended.

Piston walkout was very unsportsmanlike. I hated them.

Yet all that physical play still didn't keep Jordan from averaging 30 against them, plus I watched Jordan hit 62 points against that physical defense so it didn't really keep him from doing what he did

Intimidator? Enforcer? Naw! He was a cheapshot artist. Rick Mahorn was the enforcer. Laimbeer was dirty.

Bad sport doesn’t feel bad about being a bad sport. Shocker.

Isiah Thomas cowering his head while passing Jordan is very telling.

The Pistons were poor sports when they won. That's why they were remembered a poor sports when they lost.

Their legacy is that they played dirty and they were always poor sports, win or lose.
