Every former NBA star and legend always says the same thing. They underestimate Bird and then he owns them.
I never get tired of hearing about players from the best time period of the league admit how Larry just lit them up.

There must be something wrong with my eyes.  Everyone has to comment how Larry was slow, how he couldn’t jump, wasn’t athletic.  Bullshit.  He wasn’t as athletic as some but he had a very fast first step and he WAS athletic as hell.  But Larry’s basketball IQ was second to none.

The greatest "all-round" forward in NBA history...Larry Joe Bird

Larrys passing skills was second to none

I met Larry in 1981 practicing at Westminster College in Salt Lake. I was 11. Just a weird encounter. He's the goat!

Basketball was so great in the 80s and 90s.

Larry Bird was playing 'Grandmaster Chess' whilst everyone else was still playing 'Checkers'.  Larry is the G.O.A.T.  This recognition is over 40 years overdue.

larry bird was a hooper hands down

Imagine if bird didn’t hurt his back
He didn’t have load management and he always dove for the ball

I was an MJ fan, but always had real respect for LB. That man worked hard every game, he was a generational talent and a real inspiration to always work hard.

My favorite of all time

I was at so many of those games. Guy next door had 4 season tickets throughout the whole time.  You could hear him say the trash.  It was awesome!

Bird gave Grant PTSD 😂

Bird is definitely one of the goats, like Jordan, he played the best of the best

Larry at his peak...GOAT....period.

Great seeing prime Larry Bird footage! As a fan grew up in 90s, rarely see anyone toying Pippen like that.....which in my opinion till this day, Pippen still one of the best defensive player ever play in the NBA

GOAT ,all that needs to be said..

"Micheal Jordan made you look slow, Larry Bird made you look dumb" James Worthy

I can't get enough of Larry Bird.  I watch videos every week...same stories, same shots.  I just love it.
