You are the only content creator that can make me sit down for 2.5 hours and watch a movie reaction 🤣 thanks for this gem! Can’t wait to see your take on it

During 'I Lied to you' if you listen to what Annie says in the background you will understand. Sammie has a gift. When he plays music he can pierce the veil between past and future. He can attract evil. The scene wasn't solely about showing the evolution of black music because if you pay attention because there were two Asian individuals there parts of their culture also appeared as Sammie played his music. It was depicting the gift that Sammie has. This is why Remmick said he sensed him and that Sammie could help him see his people because he was all alone.

Noticed that line that was said “the blues came with us but the religion was forced on us” that says a lot right there and without the blues we wouldn’t have country , jazz ,rock , rap , hip pop and so on

Here is a little fun fact: Slk Sammie, aka Preacher Boy actor Miles Caton, toured with H.E.R. She was the one who suggested that he audition for the role💯✨

i swear, you are the first movie reactor who's taken the time to rewind something if they didn't understand it: AND I APPRECIATE YOU FOR THAT. Big time.

Yes, blues is the birth of a lot of music genres. Love this movie message on music "your words are spells and music is magic".

@LeasingFerret89 1 year ago

First of all, it's not pirate music, it's a traditional Irish song. And for why Remmik is singing it, and also why he's a vampire, is that he's Irish himself, and there's a long history of vampires in irland - more than Dracula's history, before he'd became a vampire. And second, vampires CAN'T be in the sun, or else they'll literally burn to death. And lastly, is WAS fire when they were singing Irish music.

"he didnt mean it" that line always trips me up when Stack talks about his dad beating him up.

1:24:22 - Mary played it smart by stating the question in the form of a comment

the more i watch this the more i realize that they were tryna show that the blues music is what bridges the gap between life and death, it was seen as community for the oppressed but it also attracted dark forces and shows the seductive allure of sin. Which is why those “vampires” were so drawn to Sammy especially hearing him sing and play guitar, it made them feel alive even though they were dead. Also he actually sang and played live during filming and he was 19 at the time of filming 😭

2:07:45 I doubt the vamps were just gonna stay there while the sun was out if Sammy didn't come outside, my guess is instead of Grace telling them to come in, they all wait out the night, Remmick would've known the sun was coming up and sent everyone to their respective homes, where they'd surely be invited in by their family, and now by the next night half the town has been turned.
