You know why this story sounds believable, despite being typical feelgood ai slop? Because firing a competent employee by an incompetent boss actually led to a pretty well known Polish hosting company to fold on itself within a year. The situation is different, but that guy turned out to be the linchpin of the company. He wasn't irreplaceable, but the boss decided not to pay him what he was worth, and the people he wanted to hire when he quit wanted even more (because of the amount of responsibility), which he found ridiculous.
As AI as this story is, I like the bits about how fake online influencers can be. Many of them demand freebies on the basis of how many followers they have.
So you're telling me that his father could not pivot his business while he had the chance and was so delusional about his daughter that he tanked a 35 year old business for her.
Tyler shouldn't have tipped his hand to his backstabbing bio-units. Should have had all his ducks lined up first, then gone all Al Capone on them for one last "family" dinner. "You think I don't know what you were planning? Here's my resignation effective immediately. Good luck without me!"
"You didn't destroy the business. You just stepped away and let their own choices take it down." A story of betrayal, revenge, and self-respect. Absolute masterpiece
It was NOT the family business. It was his father's. Jessica was not going to inherit. It was to be a gift. It would have been totally useless having a 50-50 partnership with her. Nothing would get done.
9:04 Grab all emails & documents and make copies for your records. Next, take the time to update your portfolio, all the work you put into “the business” is your brand! People’s ACTIONS tell you who they are, not their words.
As a guy who does social media work, you NEVER make them the owner of your business unless your business is social media marketing. You either have someone who knows the business inside and out and can be depended on to lead, while hiring other faculty who are good at coordinating people, or you have someone who is good at coordinating people, and enough competent workers who can do the job right.
Media is important for exposure, but that involves working within the brand, not taking ownership and putting your vision first.
