If you are building a house, you start with the foundation squared and level.

This was a great and honest video on learning.

Every game with a ball requires multiple, if not hundreds, of 'focused reps'.

Yes, please continue with videos on how to improve aiming. The drills in this video are excellent. I spend hours working on my aiming and get frustrated that I then miss simple shots that I should make in a game. I believe the drills in this video where I start with a favorite shot (straight) and then each subsequent shot gets just a little more difficult is a terrific way to practice and improve. Thanks again.

You have the best content of any of the pool channels I watch. I have been following you for quite some time now and never miss an episode. Next time I’m on a table (next Monday) I’m giving this a try. I’ve tried all kinds of aiming methods and the other day I finally had enough and just started shooting what I felt was the right shot. I didn’t do too bad, so your video will help me a lot. The best video I saw on aiming was a snooker guy who said he just looks at shooting line and if it looks too thick then he adjusts, then if shot looks to thin he adjusts and keeps narrowing down until it finally looks correct. Your video actually has a way to practice this method. Thanks again.

love that this is clearly a perspective from your own personal experience. also, ive never thought about starting from my 'master shot', which i've never heard of before. thank you so much, love being open minded to the game and other peoples perspective because the take away is worth more than gold! Please keep the vids coming, even as maybe a slightly more seasoned player(debatable haha), the take away even on what would come off as a more simple topic is huge. thank you so much, can't wait for the next!

Thank you for doing this video and explaining so clearly as I'm returning back to pool and was a decent beginner at best before and while there is so much good information out there, it’s hard to not get overwhelmed and know where to start or what drills to focus on, etc. Your explanation was great, simple and made sense, you just need to practice over and over and it’s only through repetition and dedication and hard work when you will finally and eventually get better and while it’s good to understand how a ball reacts in some cases, or how a stance can help with certain issues, we are all different and shooting straight and aiming are the best place to start.

Very cool video. It’s funny yesterday I happened to be working on these exact 30-60degree cuts with ball off the rail about a ball width. This shot in matches is my nemesis but once I learn my new SMO a bit better. Right now about a tip and a half left aiming Fat/thick 😂 seems to be the ticket. I made about 10-12 of the tougher ones on each side. Reps is the key. Thanks for sharing your interesting training methods. I’ll be sure to try. Cheers from Budapest

Yup I’ll be trying this. Def been avoiding trying drills like this. Been trying to learn aim purely with form expecting it to work, it’s not. What’s missing i think to myself. This is it. Exp, just practice procedurally all angles until i just know where to hit it. it’s time to stop missing.

I’ve been struggling with rail cut shot for the past three month exactly the same way you described here. Hitting the ‘correct’ point just feels super weird for me. Even though I can make it still feels weird. I naturally just want to aim thick every time I get down and instead of getting back up I end up using outside English to pot the ball. Probably a bad idea because our local pool hall only have 4 inch pockets with tough angled pockets.
