Welcome back to The Mushroom Kingdom! Mario is still running around interacting with references in this sequel to the smash hit 2023 Super Mario Bros Movie!

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie definitely raises some questions. Like did they forget to write a story for this one? How many Nintendo references can you cram into a single movie? They’re definitely going to make 10 more of these, aren’t they?

“Why are there so many easter eggs?”

“Because it’s releasing at Easter, ya silly.”

I remember the best description of this movie:
"Jingling keys, the movie."

I appreciate the spoiler warning, but there was no story for you to spoil.

"That is a fun thing to go I just went that a couple seconds ago and I loved it!" is peak Pitch Meeting

Love how the producer doesn't even refer to it as a movie at the start, and just calls it a product.

"Can we introduce Princess Daisy only to do the bare minimum with her in the third movie?"

"Oh that's super easy. Barely an inconvenience!"

That sudden mood shift in "REFERENCES, JUST- REFERENCES, THATS ALL THERE IS!" had no right to be that funny

It's like paying to see a Nintendo commercial

Still can't believe Rosalina got less screen time than Star Fox even though it's a movie about HER GAME

@xdrkcldx 5 months ago

Basically, the movie is a bunch of mini adventures from start to finish with a basic story of Rosalina being captured to Rosalina being saved.

My favorite part was where Bowser Junior is like "Mario: Prepare to meet your maker!" and then Mario Makered all over the place.

I like how the producer describes his movie as "the product" the same way the McDonald's CEO describes the Big Arch.

I genuinely appreciate the subtle touch Ryan put into this by having the Screenwriter Guy hold up what seemed like maybe only seven or eight pages of script.
