Was Joel Right? I'm curious as to what everyone's opion is.

Oh also Part 2 on Permadeath & Grounded after the next video...  Shall be fun.

Doing Grounded mode has been one of the best experiences I've had in 25 years of playing videos games loved it

Playing this game on grounded when it 1st came out was awesome.
It was one of the 1st survival games that actually felt like you needed to scrounge for everything, had to use stealth effectively and had to take your time or your were cooked.
Excellent game 9.5/10 (cos redoing the story over and over gets draining)

As a father of a 12 year old daughter (yes im old) Joel was right, and will always be right. I would have done the exact same thing in his shoes.

The best part of this game for me was the part where you are in the basement of that hotel. The first time I played the game, that part scared the shit out of me. I've only played this game 3 times, and only completed it once (the first time). I enjoyed it, but it's not a game I would go back to again and again. I didn't love it like a lot of people do, but it was worth the time I did put into it.

I have never played the game so it was good to compare to the show. Seems they changed quite a bit! Really captured David well though, that guys is a proper creep. Nice effort completing on Grounded! Looked tough

Great video man stumbled upon the soulslike video, loved it, clicked on this one and wasn't disappointed either. You'll make it big, here's a sub

WAZZZZZAAAAAAAA!! 😝😝😝

Loving the vids!

Keep going big fella. So many of the platinum runners I watch are American, I'm loving your approach, we riding this wave!

Great video. Stumbled into one of your other platinum videos of like, terrible games or something. I enjoy your editing and content. I’ll be looking forward to future stuff!

W vid! keep it going

I don't have any kids of my own, but I think Joel was 100% in the right
After getting so close to Ellie and basically seeing her as a surrogate daughter
I'd do the exact same thing

But in the context of the game, the Fireflies were hinging everything on this 14 year old girl, but the vaccine wasn't even guaranteed
It was a crapshoot that, if succeeded, they had no means of mass producing
At least not on a global scale
Humanity is already in shambles after 20 years
Their vaccine would only hold off the inevitable for anyone it cured

Whhaasssapp!! 😂 Great video as usual! I Recently just got the platinum but just played on normal. Plenty supplies available on that difficulty - so I can see why grounded adds to the realism of the world. Probably would have taken me double the time and double the stress however 😂

Hell yeah good luck playing the second one

i have played b0th 0n hardest difficulty and im a uncle <- n0t the same but still c0unts cause my niece calls me 2nd dad cause i see her m0re as a daughter and i can say this J0EL DID THE RIGHT THING i w0uld d0ne the same thing many times 0ver tell my b0dy gives up 0n me and even then im stubb0rn and w0uld still push th0ugh hell just t0 save my child yes i call my niece my child f0r the fact she calls me 2nd dad

I get Joel’s decision. But it should have been up to Ellie to decide whether she would undergo the surgery or not. But, nobody gave her that option. Joel does the best thing he could think of, but the lies are not the best thing he could have done.
