Vince McMahon paid ECW a visit in early 2007. During this visit he ripped into the ECW Originals, he talked poorly about the ECW promotion and fans of the brand. 4 months later McMahon won the ECW championship belt after beating Bobby Lashley in a 3-on-1 match, and Durag Vince was born soon after. Because McMahon got his head shaved in the WrestleMania 23 "Battle of the Billionaire" match he began wearing so peculiar headwear, but when Vince put on the durag it almost changed him into a totally different person.

This video looks at Vince McMahon's time in WWE ECW, his PPV matches involving Lashley, and his choice of sweet headwear during this particular era.

What did you guys think of Durag Vince? And what did you old-school ECW hardcores think about McMahon winning the ECW Championship?

Durag Vince needs to be a playable character in 2k

People throw around “menace” and “wild” so much as part of today’s slang. Durag Vince truly was a menace, a very wild one at that.

Vince is crazy but durag Vince is even crazier

I still couldn't believe that Vince found a matching lavender durag for his suit.

I’m almost 100 percent sure durag Vince was acting like this even when the cameras were off

Durag Vince might be the wildest character in wrestling.

Somewhere Hogan saw the durag and thought "gimmick infringement. That doesn't work for me brother"

I like how his Durag Color matched his Suit Color. He always looked fly on a weekly basis.

As a massive fan of the OG ECW, I thought the Durag Vince stuff was absolutely hilarious and an incredibly entertaining way to generate even more heat onto himself.

2007 was a wild year in both WWE and TNA. Durag Vince dying via Limo explosion that resulted in Hornswaggle being a McMahon, Perc Angle with all the titles, Super Cena running wild, Great Khali as World Champion and Teddy Long having a Heart Attack on his wedding day.... Bruh

At the flea market they used to sell these durags that had 2 black guys wearing suits with sunglasses and it said "MID - Men In Durags"

To me Durag Vince was the Mr. McMahon characters final form. Right after this gimmick they did the limo explosion which coincided with the Benoit tragedy and imo Vince was never the same on air character since. He came back for the Bret angle in 2010 and made other sporadic appearances but he was never the off the wall, manic, maniacal Mr. McMahon like he was from 98-07.
