I love how in Dune, Earths location is lost, but the houses of the Laandsrad claim ancestry from earths cultures.

The overriding mistake the Atreides made was simply not leaving Paul and Jessica back on their homeworld and only taking half their army. Especially as they thought it was a trap.

Being Greek myself, it’s really cool to hear that the atreides have Greek roots

Shaddam IV loved Duke Leto like a son but as Irulan said the Corrinos calculate power and the Atreides were an actual threat if left unchecked plus without a male heir the Corrino held government could be challenged. In their weakened state while formidable it's better to get rid of problems before they fester.

I really love the asthetic of Atreidis uniforms from thr Denuve movies. The soldiers armor was alao fire.

Thanks for covering the Expanded Duniverse too. I guess I'm a rare fan that loves Frank's and Brian's books even though they have different styles.

Thank you so much for this background.
I've read all the books, the original and the prequels, and I have the original Dune Encyclopedia that was released in the 80's, but your deeper look into the Classical origins of the Greek mythology, and their connections has added to my depth of appreciation of the Duneverse.

I love the sound of the narrator's voice. It is very soothing.

Loyalty and nobility do not always make heroes.

I wonder if we're going to get interaction scenes between Jason Momoa and Anya Taylor Joy if they continue with Prophet and Children of Dune!

So is the expanded stuff like eu from Star Wars. Cool ass stories sometimes better than the source stuff but ultimately dressed up fan fics. Do the have expanded dune books and stuff?
