YouTube Scam Ads

YouTube has a big problem with the advertisements they allow on their platform, considering how many of them are just scams. Not the whole sensationalist "oooh this product is bad so it's a scam" kinda way, I mean like straight up scams. Get your act together YouTube. I'm going back to playing Splatoon Raiders.

you look like that dude from, kick-ass, but your "superhero power" is pressing "upload video" from time to time

"why do our users keep installing adblockers?"

There's literally so many scams, ai ads, or crappy games, sometimes all at once.

So excited for this video, every time I don't have an adblocker YouTube's ads give me psychic damage.

Ad blocking software is even recommended by the FBI.

The glasses one makes me laugh as someone with diabetic retinopathy. Even if they did 'fix' varying focus, they wouldn't fix other eye conditions that you need to see an opticians or specialist eye hospital to monitor. If you trust these ads, you're putting your sight at risk.

I thought the dentist patient was saying COFFEE. And I sure as hell didn't know who he was.

I don't think I've ever seen a YouTube ad tell the truth.

The ac ones neglect thermodynamic laws. You cannot exoect a room to cool if you are rejecting the heat to the same space.

Forever grateful for ad blockers

As seen on TV grifters never went away, they're just called YouTube sponsors now.

The Kalshi ad is meant to be inscrutable so you go "huh? What does that have to do with kalshi?" And now you're thinking about kalshi instead of tuning it out

Remember, we have to say "unalived" or the AI slop scammers will get offended and pull their ads

@plnkfloydian7814 1 month ago

It’s even more confusing why the companies employ these marketing strategies. Every single ad I get is some obvious scam with robot voice and outrageous claims with loud crazy music or some dingbat sitting there telling me why I need to be interested in what he’s saying all while never getting around to the damn point.

YT: YES we will delete tons of channels but we will accept any ads

@PlebBora 1 month ago

What?? Companies are constantly scamming us for profit??? Omg

I find it even worse on free game apps, because you can't skip or block those dumb ads. I have no problem with real ads, but those AI ads for scammy products drive me insane.
